What will some positive outcomes be for the black community if Barack Obama becomes President?

2. Didn't you hear? Apparently, the only thing that's been holding up true racial unity is the election of someone with a dark skin tone to the presidency.
3. The vision or inspiration that others too can become the President of the United States.
4. Hopefully it will destigmatize being black. In the way that Jackie Robinson changed a lot of peoples opinions about what it menat to be black, I would imagine that Obama being President would do the same thing but 10 fold. It would also send a pretty positive message to the rest fo the world, that we practice what we preach.

My generation rode the back of the bus. I'm so happy to be alive to see we can also be in the white house. BTW: the racist try to stop what is good for us. None...what positive outcomes have there been for the black community in Detroit after electing many liberal blacks to city-wide offices over the past 40 years? and Obama makes those looney liberals look like Ronald Reagan. Obama, with a democratic congress, will be a complete and total disaster, not only for the black community, but for the United States and all freedom loving nations. It doesn't get much worse than this.
15. His platform which includes initiatives for health care and education. Those will certainly help the Black community. Any improvements to the economy will also help the Black community. Of course, these things will help many communities.
