Does Barack Obama Believe In Black Liberation Theology?

Obama's church and his pastor, Rev Wright believe in Black Liberation Theology which is described by mainstream black Christian ministers as a racist anti-white religion. If Barack has attended this church for 20 Years does that mean Obama is a believer in this religion as well? Note: The Trinity United Church has been cited as the best proponent of Black Liberation Theology by the creator of the religion, James Cone.

  1. If you have poor logic, then yes, it automatically means that. Absolutely. Personally, I tend to rely on legitimate reasons not to vote for someone. When it comes to Obama, my reason for withholding a vote for him is his stated support of the Global Poverty Act, which is a horrible idea for the economy.
  2. If his spiritual mentor believes in it, it is only logical that Obama does too.
  3. YES!!! He talks about it in all of his books!!
  4. Does a Bear-ack s**t in the woods. He sure do.
  5. If you are a logical person, yes that is exactly what it means, Obama is a racist.
  6. It does imply supporting it, because Barack would have to be deaf and blind not to know the views of his church after 20 years of attendance and based on the fact that he has been close friends with Wright for over 20 years
  7. It doesnt take poor logic to see that if you didnt believe what a church was saying you would not stay there for 20 years. LOL poor logic? Give me a break.
  8. There's no way I would sit in that pew for 20 years, allow that man to marry me and my wife and Baptize our kids if I didn't believe and honor what Wright stands for. In other words, yes, Obama believes in BLT very strongly.
  9. yes
  10. I don't think so. I haven't seen anything from Obama to indicate he holds to the same beliefs. Sure, he might have some misconceptions and erroneous stereotypes about white people, but so do most white people about black people. That doesn't prove he believes in Black Liberation Theology anymore than it proves most white people believe in white supremacy.
  11. Yes, if you read his books you would come to the same conclusion, and his close association to Jerry is not what I base my opinion.
  12. This is just one of many links that will give others a better insight into that church. http://sweetness-light.com/archive/barack-obamas-church-ultra-left-and-afrocentric
  13. it is time to get back on track and focus on the issues at stake. I am quite sure everybody knows someone who holds a belief that they don't suscribe to, is it right to form an opinion of them on that bases? Certainly NOt. Rev Wright is not a candidate for president Obama is and it time to stop trying to use scare tactics to distract peoples and try to come together so hopefully our economy and all these other issued can get the attention they so rightfully deserve.
  14. Why do white people, who have oppressed Blacks since the founding of this country, think they are the objective purveyors of truth? Anytime Blacks and other people of color complain about the racist institutions and oppression that continue in this country, whites say its an overreaction. This is the white supremacist attitude that Rev. Wright speaks against. Rev. Wright, no matter how radical you think his ideas are, are not that outrageous. Hillary Clinton was just on the Bill O'Reily and told him that she didn't believe AIDS was created by the gov't, but has anyone heard of the Tuskegee experiment? That study went on for over 30 years without the knowledge of those poor sharecroppers that were infected with syphilis. What happened to free speech in this country? We run around the globe starting illegal wars in the name of democracy, yet a Black religious leader is not free to speak his mind within the confines of his own church. The white power structure is so hypocritical. Those in power run around crapping on the most vulnerable populations here and abroad and destroy those who speak against it. Wright does not speak for Obama. Obama does not speak for Rev. Wright. And it is time for the media to get to the campaign issues.
