Are the false claims that Barack Obama is a Muslim a means of justifying anti-black racism?
Since it's no longer PC to hold prejudice against blacks, but a-okay to bigot based on Islamic faith (in the scope of the average American mind), are these false claims a shadow tactic of anti-black racism by means of bigoting him based on the prejudice that is currently acceptable?

- Actually its an attempt by desperate people that have nothing concrete to attack him on........If ya cant find any dirt, make some up
- He may not be Muslim, but his middle eastern family is. It's not a race issue when some still think of 911.
- This is a really great question and I am glad you put this out there. The sad thing is that you will probably get alot of retarded posts that call Obama a Muslim.....
- This is exactly what is wrong with Barack Obama running for President. When someone, him or anyone else, can have a discussion about the issues facing our country, WITHOUT mentioning race, then maybe at that time we'll be ready for a black President. Obviously, the time is not now, since even Obama himself can't help but bring race into his speeches.
- Yep. People forget though that even if he was(which I don't believe he is) Mohamed Ali( the greatest fighter that has ever been) was Cassius Clay before he converted to Islam.
- I'm your average American with this mindset : Anti-black president, & Anti-muslim president. Vote for Hillary. Further note to Ispeak... Spare us the oppression bullshit, the 'if he were white' crap. He is muslim, THAT is the main problem.
- Exactly, Neocons never let the truth stand in the way of their ideology!
- This is by far the BEST question on here right now. I GIVE YOU 10 points! LOL! no, it's not a means but they sure think it is. I am unsure of my vote. The man I'm leaning towards is not Obama but I still hate how MOSTLY white Americans and suprisingly some Hispanic Americans are treating him based on his race. If he were white and giving the speeches he gives and making the great changes he has made they would rename him "Jesus". If he were white. This country must not forget that not even 40 years ago blacks and whites couldn't even sit together. It baffles me that they think just that quick! BAM! Racism is gone. Yes we have progressed but America is still just as racist. It just hides it better in 2008. Thanks for the question!
- You are one smart cookie and absolutely right. They can't attack his race, that would only help him. So they make up garbage about him being a Muslim. Almost as bad huh? Either way, it makes it easy to identify who the idiots are.
- OMG, couldn't have said it any better! You're very insightful!
- It is a conspiracy designed to discredit the man.
- I think that has something to do with it, to be honest. I think it's ridiculous. If someone really wanted to make an argument against Obama that I would listen to, he/she would talk about his record in the Senate, statements he has made, flaws in his plans for the economy or health care or whatever... but they aren't talking about those things. It's like that old saying that people who aren't clever enough to express their opinions intelligently use profanity instead. It's the same thing with this Muslim lie. It's the equivalent of using profanity in an argument to try to make your point, rather than using rational thought.
