Are the false claims that Barack Obama is a Muslim a means of justifying anti-black racism?

Since it's no longer PC to hold prejudice against blacks, but a-okay to bigot based on Islamic faith (in the scope of the average American mind), are these false claims a shadow tactic of anti-black racism by means of bigoting him based on the prejudice that is currently acceptable?

12. I think that has something to do with it, to be honest. I think it's ridiculous. If someone really wanted to make an argument against Obama that I would listen to, he/she would talk about his record in the Senate, statements he has made, flaws in his plans for the economy or health care or whatever... but they aren't talking about those things. It's like that old saying that people who aren't clever enough to express their opinions intelligently use profanity instead. It's the same thing with this Muslim lie. It's the equivalent of using profanity in an argument to try to make your point, rather than using rational thought.
