Do you think that Barack Obama is a muslim?

As a child he went to muslim school. Do you think he was brainwashed there enough? I guess I do not believe that he is honest. As a politician with a goal he made pragmatic decisions about his religion.

  1. He's not a Muslim, he's a Christian.
  2. NO
  3. Since Muslims are not the ultimate evil (despite the popular insane belief), it doesn't matter to me if he's a Muslim or not, so I haven't thought about it.
  4. Barack HUSSEIN Obama? Sounds like a terrorist. Osama Bin Laden! Sadam Hussein! Scary...
  5. No I do not. He has made it clear that he is a Christian numerous times. I have seen not a single reason to believe this man a liar about anything whatsoever. He has dealt with integrity all the way through (unlike his chief competition), and has had numerous opportunities to do otherwise. Whether you agree with him or not....he is a good man and it is plainly evident.
  6. He's a Muslim, posing as a Christian. Think about it - we never heard anything about him until AFTER 9/11.
  7. Obama was raised by his white Christian mother and grandparents.... He's Christian too. get over it
  8. I heard he was raised Muslim and his father was Muslim and then he converted to Christianity.
  9. claims to be christian. but then again... so does clinton and she is a child of the devil
  10. I agree with Amanda.
  11. From Obama's book 'Audacity of Hope': "I was not raised in a religious household. My maternal grandparents, who hailed from Kansas, had been steeped in Baptist and Methodist teachings as children, but religious faith never really took root in their hearts. My mother's own experiences as a bookish, sensitive child growing up in small towns in Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas only reinforced this inherited skepticism. [...] My father was almost entirely absent from my childhood, having been divorced from my mother when I was 2 years old; in any event, although my father had been raised a Muslim, by the time he met my mother he was a confirmed atheist, thinking religion to be so much superstition. It was because of these newfound understandings–that religious commitment did not require me to suspend critical thinking, disengage from the battle for economic and social justice, or otherwise retreat from the world that I knew and loved–that I was finally able to walk down the aisle of Trinity United Church of Christ one day and be baptized. It came about as a choice and not an epiphany; the questions I had did not magically disappear. But kneeling beneath that cross on the South Side of Chicago, I felt God's spirit beckoning me. I submitted myself to His will, and dedicated myself to discovering His truth."
  12. as an adult he walked into a Christian church on his own free will and was baptised, and made some of the words of his experience in this church the basis of his "audacity of hope" book/speech... I wouldn't be worried.
  13. ok to the guy who posted the quote of obama's book:: If his dad was no longer muslim when he met obama's mom, why is his first name Barack, and middle name Hussein. His Irish mother wouldnt think of that name, so obviously his dad named him in muslim faith. i think he is a muslim that should be voted for with skepticism. i mean our first new president after 9/11 shouldnt be a muslim, that would show how forgiving america.
  14. Since is mother was not I doubt it had much effect. People get religion from their families not their schools. I sent my children to Catholic school although I am not, and they were not even religious let alone Catholic when they grew up. We have had forty years of teaching evolution in the public schools but only 21% of the public really believes it, and nearly half the scientists believe that God had role. 15. He's not a Muslim, nor did go to a Muslim school .(Meaning a school where the religion of Islam was the main subject taught.) He went to a secular public school in Indonesia whose students and staff were primarily Muslims for a couple of years as a child, but that doesn't make him a Muslim in the least. It would be like saying everyone who went to a public school was brainwashed to be a Christan or something and that everyone left the schools in America as a Christian. Hmmm... you know he also attended a Catholic school (A private religious school even.) for a while as a kid, why does no one try to make him out to be some sort of undercover Catholic lol? The myth falls flat and hard when put under scrutiny.
