If John McCain is elected President, what do you think he will do about illegal trespassing?
We know he has been "iffy" about it during his career as the Senator of Arizona, and I think it was for the legal Mexican vote, but do you think since he probably won't need their votes anymore for the Presidential election, that he might do something as President to stop the trespassing? We already know Hillary, and Obama won't for sure, right?

- He says that the first thing to do is Close the Border more tight. That should be the first thing....
- None of the three top contenders will press on the illegal immigration issue. We NEED a candidate that WILL DO THIS, with no uncertain terms.
- Unfortunately, he is for amnesty. Looks bleak for states without strict policy themselves.
- Absolutely nothing.
- He'll put out food and water for them.
- He says he got the message from voters and has promised to secure the borders before any other action on illegal immigration. I did notice however, that he has not said he won't pursue amnesty - he will secure the border first and then grant amnesty.
- He will do nothing except maybe encourage it more by legalizing the ones already here.
- A vote for McCain is a vote for our continued destruction. All that needs to be done about this non-issue is to apply the laws already in existence.
- He will use either an executive order or a Presidential pardon to make them all legal. He is the guy who tried to shove the last amnesty package through before anybody could read it so it wouldn't "get bogged down in politics." He is a RINO.
- He'll finish the wall, as he well should!
- He would have "Welcome to the USA, land of the free handouts" signs posted every ten yards apart on the southern border, no need for the northern border, since their money is worth as much or more anyway.
- Give amnesty to everyone that comes over...
- The same as every other president, not much. The reason is simple, we need them for cheap labor to pick our crops and keep our offices clean. All the repukes and dems do about this is window dressing to get votes. Trust me on that, its not about what is right or wrong, its about the economic bottom line. I mean, do you really want to pay $2.95 for a head of lettuce? Or $38.50 for a bottle of Gallo wine? =============== Life is so simple, but we insist on making it complicated Confucius 551 - 479 BC =============== Peace Jim .
- He won't do anything. Remember McCain/Kennedy?
- Let's hope he secures the borders as he has promised. You are right about the left-wing, they will keep illegals coming without consequences. This is one of the reasons the Liberals will not win this election.
- No, I don't think he'll do anything to stop it. The problem is the cost vs. benefit. Chasing them all away would be a waste of money, why would they not come back? Enforcing real border security is also very costly. I am a McCain supporter, and I have seen him speak about this issue, and he often mentions cracking down on employers and deporting illegals, but honestly I think he has no intention of doing so. Nor do any other serious politicians, they all want some type of amnesty / guest worker program.
- McCain's` stance is to secure the border now , and then deal accordingly with the Illegals that are already here !
- xeny.. I would certainly hope John would address this issue straight up before the election,,, Since Nobama and Hillary won't touch it, However this is an election year,,, and we all know the pitfalls for being honest, and direct and forthright. Will He do something if elected Hell I can't answer that, and I really don't think he would either, However if One day he stepped up to the microphone before the election and said. Good day I would like to speak to you about Illegals in this country,,, don't be to suprised.
- As has been said, Senator McCain is familiar with the issues because he has been on both sides of all of them. Same with illegals, he has favored all sides of the issues. So it would depend on which way he had flopped when the time came. Like the war in Iraq (Bush's War) he made two reversals within 24 hours over last weekend.
