Why does John McCain want to be President, he will have almost no power for legistlation?

Demcratics are picking up several Senate seats and 20-30 house seats. If McCain is President , he either will be a liberal with full power to do what ever he likes that is liberal like FDR and LBJ had when they had full power. Or he will be another George Bush with no power, but war powers cant get much done at all as a conservative..

John McCain will do everything he can to distance himself from Bush, but in the end, he is just more of the same, big business and big banking. Don't allow yourself to be hood-winked. The first thing he will do is start a war with Iran. We can't afford to fight another war.
7. Mc Cain has earned the right in the battlefield in Vietnam serving America. John Mc Cain was biting bullets while other politicians were deferring the draft, and biting their nails. I will not vote for him, but I do Admire Him as a true American Hero
