with Barrack Obama being the nominee for president; & John McCain the other nominee?
Will this year's presidential election, could it promise to be among the most ugly in a while, with an African American versus a WASP(White Anglo Saxon Protestant) in the form of John McCain going mano a mano with 1 another! Could race be the ultimate factor in deciding this year's election? Which I see John McCain as being the favored nominee because he is a white male & the Iraq situation still going on badly.

- McCain is not a WASP but it could get ugly.. John McCain is Irish, not Anglo-Saxon and ones income does not determine their ethnic background..
- I have already heard about racism in the primaries, I honestly wasn't aware that it still existed... I hope that someone's skin color is not a reason that people vote or don't vote.
- A political election should never be decided by race. It should be decided by experience and qualifications like any other job. McCain wins either way.
- 1st, your wrong about Iraq, we have made a difference and things are getting better. please educate yourself on these issues. 2nd, race will onyl be a factor for those who are racist. the majority of us will vote for the candidate who will do the less harm to our country and economy. raising taxes on the working clas and small business is NOT the answer. Obama will lose, just as badly as clinton.
- Actually, I think that Obama has a better chance of winning due to the Iraq war situation. McCain promises to be a continuation of the Bush years on this front, and we all know how well that's been going. As for race, why, yes, of course it will be a factor. Not as much as some people may assume, but, it already has become a factor, and there's no reason to assume it will magically go away once the presidential race gets under way: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/05/12/AR2008051203014_pf.html
