Barack Obama?

does this mean the mayor of Bethlehem will not vote for him Local mayors are lining up against Senator Barack Obama because of some controversial comments he made about small-town Pennsylvanians. Last week, Obama said that some voters are bitter over their economic circumstances and cling to guns and religion as a result. Mayor John Callahan of Bethlehem calls the comment condescending. He says: "We need a president in my mind who is going to get things done, someone whos not going to make comments that are necessarily critical or to pile on." The mayor adds: "We are blue collar folks, we have a lot of pride, and we're not bitter." The mayors of Scranton, Wilkes-Barre and Harrisburg have echoed similar remarks. Obama said today that he chose his words badly, and that it's not the first time, and it won't be the last.

Public Comments

  1. He is an elitist who thinks he is smarter than anyone else. He wants everyone to have his radical left wing values. This guy is not fit to be in the White House nor in the Senate.
  2. Yes, he will be the next president of the United States. Just answering the question, not the essay.
  3. His true face is starting to show.
  4. yep the golden boy is tarnished, by his own stupidity
  5. Everyone you mentioned is a Hillary supporter of course they will speak against Obama. The truth is, Obama will win the nomination and Hillary needs to concede and get out of the way. She is more an asset to the Republican party than she is to the Democrats.
  6. I think if you lived in rural Pennsylvania and lost your job when it was shipped to China and have no health insurance or retirement and no chance at a job beyond flipping hamburgers, I am inclined to think you'll be voting for Obama. And if you ever lived in a depressed rural area, you likely would be turning to religion, and spending some time hunting, and want an end to alien immigration.
  7. Obama admitting that he is human just like everyone else. No one is perfect.
  8. small town mayors want sway any voters minds on who they will vote for . so don't jump for joy obama still win this nomination ,this is probably only happening in pa. which don't make up the majority of voters that are still supporting obama . your be back next week flip flopping for obama next week too lol
