How do I get informed about the 2008 election?

I am 23 and I have never voted. I know its horrible but I have never been interested in being involved even though I know its important. I have been getting more and more interested in voting in the 2008 election and wondered is there a website that will help me. I want to get informed about who is running, what is all being voted on as of now, etc. I also want one that is up-to-date and easy to understand.

  1. to know the candidates go to http://www.ontheissues.org
  2. go here www.kslradio.com
  3. First, you're not late in becoming interested in the political system and good for you to want to find out and not just blindly take whoever's name you hear the most. That first link has left out all the best candidates. Do your research, but remember not to take the couple of front runners as your only choices. Be sure to check out: Republican Ron Paul and Democrats Biden and Gravel. These three are very decent people, but not front runners... at least not yet. Here's a good site which will get you started on which candidate matches issues most important to you:http://www.vajoe.com/candidate_calculato... Good luck.
  4. Go to the candidates websites and check out their voting records on the issues you care about the most. And the best advice I can give you is to not make up your mind from anything you read on Y/A because there are only a select few who will debate intelligently. Most are just hate spewers.
  5. Go to politics.msnbc.com for all things Politics
