How far was Roosevelt himself responsible for his election victory in 1932?

I am not sure whethers its charasmtic persona agenda and his campaign OR whethers it Hoovers (his main oppenant in the elections) unpopularity due to his rather cold response to the wall street crash and the ongoing crisis at the time. And could of anyelse but Hoover of won this election? Or was Roosevelt the right and ONLY man? What was the BIGGEST factor that helped Roosevelt get into power? State your sources. Note: i shifted the question from the persidental election section to history. And thanks for reading my questions.

  1. FDR was felt to be the candidate of change, and he was also well known as the Governor of New York. He did have a charisma which helped him, as well as the Roosevelt name, and remember there were still a lot of people who remembered Teddy Roosevelt fondly who would have voted for Franklin.
