Will Osama Bin Laden come out with a new video before the November election?
We all saw how one conveniently came out a couple days before the '04 election. Do you think we'll see another video? Will it be produced by Timbaland?

- Hopefully he's dead by then - if not now.
- I think he died a long time ago.
- No he can make a great music video on his own.
- Yup. in the making. Where he chant's GOD DAMN AMERICA! US OF KKK. The racist pig.
- It would be a great thing if we saw a video of his funeral.
- YES, and I would not be surprised if he calls to Arab Americans to support Obama!
- I doubt it. He will probably appear at a fund raiser for Obama.
- Don't audition for Saturday Night Live... ok, it would be a waste of your time............pffft
- Yes. And he'll endorse John McCain.
- Do not think there will be a video, at least not one that can be dated after 2002. I think he is buried under tones of rubble in Tora Bora, but that is just my gut feeling. I do think Al-Qaeda will try to influence our elections. They were very successful in effecting the Spanish one if you will remember. One good coordinated train station attack and the ruling party is ousted, the opposition comes in, and the next thing you know Spain is pulling its troops out of Iraq. The question then would be how would they do it? They could just walk a bunch of guys into a mall with automatic weapons and kill a bunch of people but I do not think that would have the impact they want. They would need to hit the US in a way that shows not only our vulnerability, but also the ineffectiveness of the current administrations tactics and how the war in Iraq has hurt our ability to protect us. They would also have to attack a military as opposed to civilian target I think, as a civilian target would likely stir emotions in the US in favor of McCain and his “chase them to the gates of Hell” position on terrorism, which is the last thing they want. They would want something that makes the American people despair, that has a long lasting impact (probably economic in nature) and spectacular. Something that will go down in history. As Clausewitz wrote in “On War”, war, and by extension, terrorism, is politics by other means. They have a political goal, which will be reached faster if a democrat wins the election and pulls US troops out of the Middle East in general and Iraq specifically. Therefore, I would expect a massive attack in Iraq on the Green Zone. One using large amounts of mortar borne chemical weapons (mustard gas, chorine, nerve agents, etc). If they can get the Iranians, Russians, or North Koreans to sell them a nuke, they will use that, but I think that is unlikely. Chemical agents are much easier to get hold of and deploy. But a blanket of chemical gas over a huge chunk of Baghdad while the Iraqi government was in session and the American general in charge is on site would have the anti war type here clamoring for a pull out. And that would further their interests.
