Will Clinton supporters vote for Obama in the general election if he wins?
I have read and heard that Clinton supporters will not vote for Obama in the general election.Do you think that it true?If you are a Clinton supporter now, will you vote for Obama in the general election if he wins?
Public Comments
- No they will not.
- They won't have a choice. Now that she's gotten caught for syphoning money from one of Bill's charities into her campaign--the reason they won't release their '07 taxes--they'll have to bone up and vote Obama. McCain is just another Bush clone.
- I will vote for who ever is the Democratic nominee is. No matter what!
- no they are going to vote for McCain. Obama is a loser dude! The man lies constantly and refuses to apologize for it. He considers all voters to be really stupid.
- I won't, made up my mind about 3 days ago when ABC got all the heat for asking Mr.Obama a couple of hard questions.
- Yes I will. Its about getting the job done.
- i think they will, yes, i think clinton supporters will vote for obama in the general election if he wins.
- Most of them. You see some of her fans like her not because she is a Democrat, but because she is a woman!
- Any democrat is better than McSame Democrats 08
- Yes, everyone I know backs the party. I voted for Clinton and will be happy to back Obama. It's about taking out the Rep's and putting America back on track.
- I think that some will and that some wont. It's a patter of personal preference. The intensity of this race really might hurt it for the dems.
- if I would vote for Hilllary, maybe it would be McCain, not Obama
- I think they will. The propoganda is too strong.
- No- but I wouldn't vote for none of them but if I had to pick one Obama would be the last one I would vote for. Great speaker with no experience at all ..
- Their ego is too big, besides she will get the nomination from the Super-D's.
- If they are smart, they should. McCain would be a disaster.
- Many Clinton supporters say they will not vote for Obama in November. That's mostly sour grapes. They are likely to change their minds when they understand that four more years of Republican misrule means four more years of the Iraq War, anti-Choice Supreme Court justices and more Socialism for the Rich and Capitalism for the Middle Class. As for the Tonya Harding option, Democrats don't have a tradition of turning to defeated candidates in future nomination contests. The last time they did that was Adlai Stevenson.
- Not a chance.
- Even though I have said I will not vote for Obama if Hillary wins, there are three possible ways I would reconsider voting for Obama: 1. Hillary as VP 2. Offers Hillary to be nominated for a cabinet post. (This will not affect the DEM party for if she ran for president and won, her senate seat would be vacated anyway) 3. Offer Bill a cabinet position (He said he would offer Gore one, why not Bill?)
- I believe most of them will. Right now, emotions are high but after the nominee is decided on, they will have a long time until November to compare Obama (if he is the nominee) to McCain. And if their vote for Clinton was based on issues and not on gender, they will vote Obama (actually, not doing so would be a betrayal for Clinton's ideas as well, since she herself said that the differences between her and Obama are minor and it is more important to put a democrat into the White House than which democrat actually gets it).
- Im voting for him now,, so yes of course I would also in the general election..
- It wouldn't make sense for a clinton supporter to back mccain in the general election and here's why... Assuming you were voting because of actual issues that were important to you, Hillary and Obama's campaigns are very similar where as McCain's is very different. Basically it's like somebody who loves cheeseburgers and hates fish saying they would do anything to eat McDonalds, but the Mcdonalds shut down and all that's left is a burger king and a Red Lobster and the person deciding the Red Lobster is the best option. I mean the mcdonalds and the burger king are nearly identical and the Red lobster is way out in left field, if you really loved McDonalds that much you'd probably also love Burger King.
- Probably a proportion of them will not vote for Obama. Childish petulence has been a feature of Hillary's campaign ever since she got unexpectedly steamrollered by Obama. This was after she thought she had the nomination in the bag of course. It must have been a nasty shock for her, and so galling. No wonder she alternates that hideously forced 'Lady Diana-coming-out' smile, with that lemon-sucking countenance she exhibits when she is off-camera, or thinks she is. And no, I don't support her. Not that it's anything personal. I just make it a rule to never support power-hungry megalomaniacs.
- I think they will. They are making a fuss now, but ultimately when the alternative is a republican, they will vote for him.
- Why are so many obama supporters answering this questions when you CLEARLY asked for hillary supporters???? They just don't get it obama is arrogant and has turned off many hillary supporters in his attempt to "knock her out" as he called it (which he hasn't been able to do btw so how does he knock out mccain). They are out of touch just obama with his bitter comments lol.
