Why is it that every election year, the candidates are so boring?

Same old same old. What can we do to pick better candidates next election? Boring as in they don't appear to be good choices.

1. People think that if their representatives are fun and lively. that they are some how unprofessional. and people love to tear one another down.
2. because exciting people have better things to do---usually get a real job and work for a living
3. Candidates are not here to entertain you. Do you want a clown to be your President? Well, we had a few, but do you want to repeat past mistakes?
4. Because these candidates are hand picked by the powers that control the country, they just don't care about us.
