Why is Robert Mugabe hiding and not publishing the election results?
I'd not be surprised if the old scoundrel flies out secretly, with what's left of Zimbabwe's treasure, to live in luxurious retirement, like Idi Amin before him.

- ask obama - he's the one who wants to meet with all these dictators.
- -Because He's not "ready" to give up the "reins" of Power yet. -What else?! Do you REALLY think President Bush will be chaffing at the "bit"- to leave Office, next January??! Bill CLINTON would STILL be President- if Hillary hadn't dragged Him out of the Whitehouse 8 years ago & told Him that it was HER Turn & He needed to start raising the $$$ for HER Campaign for the Presidency !!! :) :) :)
- Hi James, By hanging on to power he remains untouchable by other world powers for crimes which are on the lines of what happened in Uganda by that other dictator Idi Amin Regards... CoffeeBean
- He is going to go on fighting to stay in power, he's not a scoundrel, but a murdering thug with no scruples about letting his people starve to death and killing thousands of the opposition, i hope that someone just puts him out of his misery and let Zimbabwe back into the real world and they can then rebuild this cruelly abused country.
- He needs time to get his thugs on the streets to intimidate voters, this morning, they have seen the lawyers from the opposition prevented from making an application to the courts to have the results published, they were prevented from entering the court by armed police, and the Mugabe, war veterans are threatening violence to anyone who opposes him this time around, and are telling the population the "White Farmers" are coming back, they have probably forgotten that when the white farmers were there, there was food to eat, for everyone.....
- he will never give up his meal ticket he is bleeding them dry and no one cares what is going on out there and he has his thugs to beat the people i wish some one would put a bomb under him
- He is just biding his time and looking for a loophole to either declare himself winner or to take the Presidential election to a second round.
- they were not to his liking, but thaT IS BEING RECTIFIED NOW.
