How will Obama do in the general election?
Michigan, Florida, and Pensylvania are always key states for winning the general election. Obama has told Florida and Michigan voters their votes should not count. He has told Pensylvania voters they are bitter. Has he helped his cause in theses states?

- In a word ...lose
- I hope he loses!!!!!
- I think he'll win. The reason: he makes sense. People are tired of politics as usual.
- I would suggest we wait until he is nominated first. There is no guarantee concerning the Democratic Convention. One thing for sure is that some Democrats may jump the fence if their favorite candidate is not nominated.
- He'll win. Obama 08!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Obama is gonna lose.
- he will do horrible...hilary will do worse as always:]] go for macain..if you educated thats what you will do:]] MCAIN IS GOING TO BE A GREAT PRESIDENT!!!
- Obama never said either of those things about FL or Michigan. As for the PA comments, they are nothing compared to McCain's fumbles. I won't voice my opinion through a false statistic by saying somebody will win, despite what the polls say. I think it is impossible to tell, but polls currently show Obama with a marginal lead.
- He will win big in every state except maybe Utah and Arizona. Why? 2 reasons: 1. Bush backlash. This will kill. If Jesus Christ were the republican nominee, even he would get creamed. 2. McCain is the weakest candidate since Bob Dole. Seriously, his own party can't stand him! That is sooo funny!!!!!
- he will hand the presidency over to the republicans in the GE, the polls show that now
- He is rolling down hill and fast.. but not fast enough for me.
- He will do very well, sitting on his couch watching it on tv as we all will....sorry he won't be there.
- no, he did not tell MI and FL that their votes shouldn't count. ALL the candidates agreed UP FRONT that if MI and FL chose to move up their primaries they would not count... the people who run the elections were told their votes would not count if they moved up their primaries. It is unfortunate that sometimes Obama does not phrase things perfectly clearly and some people take offense. I guess all the times gw didn't make any sense he was such a buffoon it made people feel good about themselves so they voted for him. how sad that so many will always discount intelligent and thoughtful candidates because they feel the candidate it too 'elite'... I hope to vote for obama in the general election and I think he has a good chance of winning. about 80% of the complaints i see about him are just smearing, not really very substantial. On the bright side, even though McCain is pro-war, at least he seems pretty interested in the environment too and i think will work to get the US to improve energy efficiency, find alternative methods of getting energy and limit greenhouse gas emissions. Otherwise i don't like his positions on the war, economy, taxation....
- He will win. He will win Michigan. People don't get that even today he would beat clinton in Michigan. His map and strategy have never been based on the traditional Dem game plan. He understands what other Dem candidates haven't -- that for the near future Florida and Ohio will go red regardless of votes. His idea was always to put the other red states --- where fraud is not as rampant --- into play. His campaign has effectively built Democratic parties in states that haven't had them in years. His campaign team has put a lot of red states outside of the deep south, Utah, and McCain's AZ into play. I have included a link that has Obama winning without Penn or Florida. I think this could be seen as his game plan. I think it should also be noted that Obama could win both the carolinas and I am proud to say he is only 2% behind in Texas. An Obama/Richardson ticket turns the 30+% of Texas that is latino from Republicans to Dems. That is national victory right there regardless of what McCain, the GOP, or Fox News do.
- a big L on his forhead
- BO is stinky dead meat now, and the superdelegates should consider that no decent Democrat even can tolerate the guy. To so "dis" the world's friendliest people in Western Pennsylvania, and all other working class people in our country with contemptuous snobbery and disenfranchisement has sealed his defeat. It is obvious that if he had even one poor or struggling root, it was lost in his grandparents struggle to send him to Harvard or wherever. Nice people don't rip on other nice, decent people as he has done. Besides it screams "don't have the audacity of hope you bitter losers". No, the working class men and women who have made this country great and provided all of the stock market money for wall street and ceo's and oil companies just took one hit too many. He is done.
- Obuma is history! He can thank himself for it too!
- SIMPLE! NOBAMA!
- I hope he's not even around by then. If we get really lucky, he, his racist wife, his racist pastor and the rest of his muslim, racist cronies will have moved back to Africa since that's the country they're so committed to.
- Are you kidding do you spend all your time watching fox news? Obama's support has been growing every day and will continue until the major election. Democrat registration is up 20% and these are new voters and thay are backing Obama.
