Public Comments

  1. The war in Iraq. U.S. imperialism/ Interventionist foreign policy. The weakening dollar. Losing our jobs to overseas workers. Loss of our freedoms here at home because we pissed the rest of the world off by "spreading democracy" with the barrel of a gun instead of encouraging it by example. The crappy way our government treats its war veterans. Corporate welfare and the Military Industrial Complex. The stagnation of wages for working class people while CEO's "earn" upwards of $100,000 per day as a reward for cutting jobs. The only candidate that will that will speak the truth is Ron Paul but nobody seems to want to hear the truth. Female, age 45.
  2. both parties completely obliterating each other
  3. 23 F -Iraq War -economy (food and gas prices specifically as well as jobs and the outsourcing of US jobs) -immigration -providing for the aging population (medicare, medicaid, and social security) I believe that Obama's policies best meet the current needs of the US in all these areas, but I WONT vote for him. I am concerned that due to his inexperience, lack of political connections, and the inability of his party to make strides in pulling troops out of Iraq (as was promised to the people), that he will not be able to do the things that he promises. Hillary has made comments about his claims, questioning his ability to deliver on his rhetoric. I agree with her. I don't however believe that she is a better candidate, as I do not like her ties to lobbyists, nor do I support the kick-backs and corruption that she and her husband have supported through various political organizations and positions. McCain has been able to create change in the senate and has been a leader in bi-party cooperation. I think that his age is an asset when dealing with the current issues of medical care for aging Americans. I think that his military experience is an important aspect in approaching the policies towards Iraq. I do however, wish that he would promise to remove troops within a specifit time frame. And I believe that his old school republican ecomonic policies will revive the economy. As for the immigration issue...both parties are too scared to pass any legislation on it. It's largely fallen on the shoulders of states to enforce immigration law.
