During these years the Catholic Pope was selected by a conclave of important church officials (typically about 40 of them) via an interesting election process from among about 20 candidates. Can anybody provide such data and/or tell me how to get it? I do not think they were secret ballots. Anyhow some facts about certain of the votes are known and in that article. How'd they know them?
