Do you believe John McCain would choose Ron Paul as his running mate for Vice President?

Do you believe Republican Presidential Nominee and United States Senator from Arizona John McCain would choose Congressman from Texas Ron Paul as his Vice Presidential Running Mate? Why or why not?

Public Comments

  1. No. Because Ron Paul adds nothing to the ticket but insanity.
  2. I don't believe so, Ron Paul and John McCain have many differences, I think it would be much more likely that he would choose someone like Mitt Romney.
  3. never...he doesn't take him seriously...
  4. No, he wouldn't! Ron is too constitutionalist and too right wing, fiscally for John to choose him.
  5. Why do many people refuse to admit Ron Paul is a fruitcake? Some of his puppies aren't barkin'.
  6. No. You could tell in every debate all the candidates thought Paul was a nutcase, even though he was the most consistent and emphasized the constitution. McCain and Paul disagree hugley on the troops in Iraq. Also, Paul would hurt the McCain ticket. There are a lot of reasons.
  7. Considering McCain has no more regard for the constitution than Bush? Ron Paul wouldn't do it... And it's a forgone McCain would ask him first, so it wouldn't happen. :)
  8. Ron Paul is a good guy, and very bright. But McCain, Romney and others effectively managed to paint him as a lunatic, and that's easy to do in America, because no one ever actually listened to what Paul was saying. They relied on propaganda being generated by the other candidates about Paul, rather than giving Paul an actual hearing.
  9. No way...John McCain and Ron Paul disagree with each other they are so neck to neck. John McCain needs someone who is a true conservative in order to make the Republicans happy. Mitt Romney has experience with the economy, but sadly because of his religion it may not work. Mike Huckabee will bring the southern baptist votes, and other conservatives. I think Ron Paul has some good opinions, and great ideas but he is a nut case and that ticket will go down hill. John McCain needs to be smart and bring in a true conservative for his VP.
  10. Never, McCain is a neo-con liberal, and Paul is a strict Constitutionalist, and States Rights candidate. No true conservative statesman will get the go ahead from the GOP. Paul will never get support from the GOP faction of the yankee empire, he supports liberty. Deo Vindice Sic Semper Tyrannis! R.G. Miller Alturas, Florida, CSA
