Mitt Romney for VP? How does a MITTCAIN ticket sound to you?
In New Hampshire on March 12, John McCain announced that he had begun searching for someone to round out the Republican ticket in his bid for the Presidency. Mitt Romney is now being viewed by many as the most likely to accept McCain's invitation (if he were to ask) to join him on the ticket as his running mate. Now, one thing in Romney's favor is the fact that after years of success as a big time player in the global economy, Romney understands how markets work. He could shore up McCain’s admitted weakness on economic issues. Is Mitt Romney the "real deal" and as a VP would help McCain conform a winning formula, one strong in security, one capable of turning around the economy, one able to bring back our pride and faith in our nation? Your thoughts? @ DAR I know but, CAINMITT just wasn't working for me. But, I see your point that the Prez should go before the VP... the final version would of course be McCAIN-ROMNEY

- McCain Huckabee.. Fair Tax please.
- would have rather had romney as president as he is a true conservative with real experience but i will take him as vp if that is the only way to get him
- We can hope, can't we. I do prefer "Huck" myself tho.
- John McCain will have a better idea than I would as to whom would do a better job with and for him...I rather wait and see what he says....I'm sure I will be satisfied.
- cant see it happen
- It would be an asset to McCain, imo. I think that people would feel better about domestic issues - especially the economy - if Romney were on the ticket. I have been very curious to see who the vp candidates will be. I personally like Romney better than McCain - it would sure up my vote.
- i think that'd get more Dem votes I'm an obama supporter and my best friend supports Hillary but we both loved Romney he has the business knowledge and he could get us out of our economic hole.
- I think it will happen and that Romny will make a great VP, and possibly pres someday. They would steamroller the vote - it wouldn't even be close.
- That's a good one! McCain absolutely DESPISES Romney. They can't even stand next to each other without spitting on one another.
- Actually, the reason Mitt didn't swamp McCain everywhere but Florida (where Dems voted in the GOP primary because theirs didn't count) was because conservatives were NOT sold that he was the 'real deal', and he is clearly still a globalist. HOWEVER, the 'MittCain' ticket sounds as if he would be President and McCain vice, and I'd sure prefer that to the opposite. It is the 'McCain' part I have the biggest problem with.
- No, that is not a strong ticket. Romney could not win a state in the South. Huckabee beat him soundly there. I like the idea of McCain running with a popular young Republican, like Bobby Jindal of Louisiana. Jindal is the son of immigrants from India and a first generation American.
- It is the only way he will get my vote, but seeing the two together I think McCain is leaning towards Lieberman, at least Lieberman knows what he is talking about
- Gene:::: McCain/Romney the winning ticket (absolutely) Everything you expressed and more,,, Mitt would be the first VP.. given command and control of the US economic Policy. I find him forming a counsel to re-do how Amercia doe's business,, Reshaping and defining who has tarriffs shoved up there ass and who doesn't. I find him working with labor and Industry on how best to bring us to a industrial base again, and He will after doing well in this,,, Be the next President after McCain for 8 years running,
- yes and no
- McRomney sounds better but it probably doesn't help McCain in Massachussetts.
- loosers
- I could live with that.
- personally i still think we should write in colin hahahahaha but the republicans get my vote if they can withstand the slaughter.
