Ron Paul’s ideas come from which economist?
I know he is Scholar in Austrian School of Economics and his background. However, I was discussing Ron Paul with my professor on an online forum and he replied with “Ron Paul's favorite economist was one of my teachers at New York University.” Does anyone have any idea who that might be?

- That would be Ludwig von Mises. The Austrian School gets its name because von Mises was most heavily influenced by Carl Menger, worked closely with NYU colleague Richard Coudenhove-Kalergi, and his most influential student was Joseph Schumpeter, all of whom were from Austria.
