Gold Election Watch - does anyone know anything about the Election watch company?

I was lucky enough to inherit a gold watch - it's hallmarked and has a serial number on the back. It has gold bracelet. I have looked all around the internet for information on the manufacturer - Election - and all I can find is a couple of other Election watches for sale. They list them as Swiss made. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the company: Is it still in business, how old is my watch; can I contact them to find out about the serial number on the back, etc?

2. The best way is to contact the Swiss watchmakers' association.
