Why President John McCain and Vice President Mitt Romney would be the winning ticket for the USA in 2008?

The President of the United States is the Chief Commander of the Armed Forces (John McCain fits the position best). The Vice President of the United States handles more Economic issues (Mitt Romney fits the position best). Obama has no history of either of these positions or much of any successful past at all Clinton is everything the opposite of these positions and wants everything to be a socialist economy and has no armed forces experience. Democrats have no qualified candidates right now for the Presidential seats.

Public Comments

  1. Ha. no
  2. I agree with you, but not entirely for the same reason. I believe that Romney would be a perfect running mate for McCain because he offset's McCain's liberal qualities. We need someone more conservative in the campaign and hopefully Romney and knock some sense into McCain on the Amnesty issue.
  3. Romney is not the best choice. I personally dont like him as a republican. I would much rather see huckabee or some unknown take it but romney was a real ass this election and whined alot.
  4. A ticket with a couple of guys who hate each others' guts is not a winning ticket. McCain's age will make Romney's qualifications relevant, and he's just as sucsceptible to the flip-flop/panderer label against the Dems as he was in the primary.
  5. McCain/Ron Paul is the winning ticket I'm Pro Obama but Ron Paul's views are Revolutionary
  6. This is a done deal. McCain has already agreed to make Mitt his VP , if Mitt quits and gives Mac the Mormon vote.
  7. No Romney is a slippery flip floper that gives clinton a run for her money in terms of unlikeability Huckabee far better choice
  8. Oh god that would be the best flip-flopping ticket I have seen in a long time. They are both flip-floppers...worse then John Kerry.
  9. Not only that but I believe Romney yielded the race to McCain for a promise from the GOP to back him in 8 years. The VP position would groom him for that. Michael S - You have a point but remember that JFK and LBJ were not friends either. In fact, RFK hated LBJ with a passion. But business is business. bg
  10. Mitt Romney is predigious against hispanic people.. He think all hispanics should move aout of the Country even those who their ancestors lived here since 1412. NO WAY!!!!
  11. These are your opinions, and you are entitled to them. But please don't make them sound like they're gospel.
  12. The only problem with Mitt Romney as a running mate, is that he would outshine McCain. He is a quite better speaker, taller, looks more presidential, and it would point out McCain's weaknesses. But he would be great, and in the likely event that McCain dies in office or self destructs in some other way, Romney would be in good stead to be President after all.
  13. AMEN! But could John McCain put aside his apparent hostility toward Mitt to take him as VP? Doubtful! I definitely agree that conservatives everywhere as well as independants and anyone who TRULY believes the economy is the most important issue facing our country would line up to vote for this ticket!
  14. Here are some ideas: Maybe he should look over at Shady Pines. There should be plenty of his contemporaries there. He might even find one who agrees with his brilliant suggestion to keep our GIs in Iraq for 100 years. McCain ought to let Rush Limbaugh help him pick the vice presidential candidate as soon as possible. It sounds by his comments today regarding a Clinton/Obama dream ticket that he will be re-entering rehab again soon. Unfortunately, a lot of potential candidates are in jail or soon will be. McCain might be better off if he placed an ad in the jobs available section of The Times. The nice thing is that after Dick Cheney, the bar for vice president is so low that it won’t be difficult for anyone to hop over it. My personal recommendation would be Senator Larry Craig. He’d lock up the public restroom vote and there might not be many other places Republicans will be able to find votes this year.
