Why do people say Clinton has a better chance in the general election?

Obama does better against McCain in Michigan, Iowa, Nevada, Colorado, New Mexico, and Ohio http://rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/ohio/ohio_2008_presidential_election http://rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/colorado/colorado_2008_presidential_election http://rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/iowa/iowa_presidential_election http://rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/nevada/election_2008_nevada_presidential_election http://rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/new_mexico/new_mexico_presidential_election http://rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/ohio/ohio_2008_presidential_election Most of these states went to Republicans in the last election NY and Cali go Democrat regardless

Public Comments

  1. talk is cheap
  2. Because Obama is going to crash and burn. He's sinking fast.
  3. you are right, she doesn't have a chance in hell if she is running on experience against Mc Cain
  4. Hillary could probably win in California and NY, but Obama will lose both these states for certain. Because Barack Obama will get the nomination, you can begin to snicker right now, and continue till Nov 4th. Then your jaw will drop wide open. ***** ***** In California for example Obama and Clinton were tied in the polls 38-38 on Feb 4th, and on Feb 6th the results came 38 - 53 in favor of Clinton.
  5. because in the main (national) election McCain will beat obama FYI - the poll that counts goes like this : if the election was held today who would you vote for if it was - McCain vs. obama or McCain vs. Clinton got that link ????
  6. Because they are disillusioned
  7. Actually california was very close last election and mccain can rally hispanics so it's not so set this election. And they say it because clinton is the liberal darling...they have been dreaming of her being president since she was first lady.
  8. Because all the people in the United States have free speech. Does not say you can only speak if you are correct. If that was the case we would not have TV News shows or Newspapers.
  9. she only wants to be pres because of her husbend so i am not voting 4 her
  10. Because people always think that people will frown upon Obama's "inexperience". The truth is that many presidents have had NO legislative experience in Congress and spent most of their time as governors. Just because he only spent 2 years in the Senate, people think he's a risk.
  11. What is intriguing is how you select polls dated in early February. Clearly your picks are biased and unfair; typical of an Obama sheepling (bahhhh).
  12. Yeah I think Obama has a better chance for a lot of reasons...A lot of dumb reasons for some but legit for others. I think that Hillary is too bipolar and contradicts herself way too much. That's why I'm pulling for her. But yeah your right. Obama stands a better chance.
  13. Because she is an expert in foreign affairs... Ole bill had several affairs with foreign women that she has had to deal with....and I sorta figure that makes her a foreign affairs expert!!!!!! Its her experience that's important!!!!
  14. You won't hear me say it because I know better.
  15. He sucks at debates, without Hillary there for him to parrot he doesn't stand a chance. He'll stutter all the way through and won't have said anything of importance.
  16. Polls change every day and every week and are based on a select group, so they are not real. Obama supporters kept posting polls that Obama would sweep last Tuesday. Did that happen? Obama needs to go back to the Senate and do the job he was hired to do and prove he is qualified with true deeds and accomplishments. He seems like someone whose ego and lack of patience make him feel that he is so great we should just believe he can be President. The polls you show are BS. Obama is an amateur compared to Hillary and McCain. We need real leadership, this is not a football game and we can't gamble on Obama's grand illusions and false promises. He needs to prove himself, then run again, if he does. Clinton '08
  17. She has the most... "Experience". John McCain certainly has experience as well. So, apparenlty, the match-up would be better for her, she claims that she knows the angles and attitude necessary to win. But, that's all relative with the right kind of judgement, as Obama points out. Personally, no matter the democratic candidate, I can forsee a victory for the democrats regardless. The american people don't wanna be in Iraq anymore, that's the key issue and demise of John McCain. No offense to Senator McCain, but that's the truth.
  18. Um, they don't. National polls have shown from day one that Obama has a better chance to win against McCain than Clinton. One person's opinion is less valuable than the numbers. Clinton is more polarizing than Obama, it's just that the right-wing machine is trying to discredit Obama because they would rather see Clinton run.
  19. My feeling is Hillary has more in common with the media which is mainly leftist. That is why we still cannot count her out. But in November, the media's darling could lose and the internet/grassroots movement prevail. I think we are seeing a monumental shift in influence in AmericA. The Republicans are usually shut out of the media or if included, is in a negative light so their potential transformation can take a different direction.
  20. those are only hillary's delusional supporters who are saying this. but i can't blame them totally. they're simply listening to their leader, hillary, who is delusional herself. she's putting a spin on winning the "big states." well, the big states are blue any way and come november, they'll still be blue. obama has won in a lot of red states among independents and democrats, meaning he's more electable.
  21. Because the people who are making these "news" stories are rooting for Clinton, and hoping that the voters are so stupid that "if the press says Clinton's going to win, that's who I'll vote for"
  22. Ducky, Sasha, Here are national , recent, polls that show both Obama and Clinton beating McCain overall, but with Obama winning by a larger margin. http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/president/national.html
  23. actually i think (and so do most Republicans), that McCaain should be on the Democratic ticket~!!! but i think McCan is willin to sell his soul, like Powell and others did for the good of the Party~!!! so he will continue carrying on Bushes policies to gain the Republican money and support that will get him through the general election~!!! but their is a price he will have to pay for that support, just like the "Godfather"~!!! "i will do a favor for you, and some day some time i will ask a favor from you"~!!!
  24. Polls don't mean much this early but they show Obama weak in NJ FL and PA and not even a sure winner in CA. all of which have Clinton beating McCain. The real reason I am worried that Obama will lose is that McCain will run against him on national security and even the red phone add run by Hillary in Texas for a couple of day hurt him. What will months of McCain pounding away at him will do to his poll numbers. The republicans managed to make Kerry look like a weak flip flopper in 2004. Also the Obama campaign staff is not ready for prime time. They have made two damaging mistakes in the last week
  25. That's just plain ignorant. Monster Hellary has been bolstering McCain to cut down Obama. She might as well be a member of his campaign. Not only is she tearing her own party down but she is aiding the Republicans.
