Why do liberals hate John McCain?
I've heard liberals say such disgusting things about him because he supports the war in iraq. I've heard liberals say that McCain makes them sick for sending his own son to Iraq to murder innocent brown babies. Why can't people today just agree to disagree on an issue? McCain supports the war and his son went to Iraq on his own. McCain never talks about his son or uses him as a political issue, so why can't he just be left alone? Why do liberals hate McCain so much simply because he does not think exactly like them? That's fascism and it's pretty scary. president, don't you think someone that has served his country as McCain has should be talked about with more respect than that?
Public Comments
- umnmmm because he is republican..... lol!! plus he is a total war hawk and liberals are not like that.
- Because they hate the fact that moderate Democrats like him.
- warmonger. human garbage.
- Why do liberals hate John McCain? The same reason conservatives hate <insert any liberal or suspected liberal here>.
- Because Liberalism is more like a religion than a political philosophy. And they are dogmatic about their religion.
- McCain is the Senator from my state. I've found him to be useless in getting anything done for the state of Arizona. I come by my dislike honestly.
- I'm a liberal and I have a lot of respect for Senator McCain. I respectfully disagree with his position on the Iraq war, but I agree with him on other issues such as campaign finance reform. Stereotyping is the weakest form of argument. :-)
- Why do you take what some people say and blanketly associate with everyone? What true american does that?
- The liberal left is full of hate and scorn for ANYBODY who does not agree with their socialist viewpoint. It's not just John McCain they hate. Look at the pointless hatred they harbor for our President. They delude themselves into believing the most ridiculous things I have ever heard coming from the mouths of people like Rosie O'Donnell, Michael Moore, and the like. They truly hate our country, and would be better off if they just all moved to Cuba so they could bow down and worship Castro, their hero.
- Because liberals just hate, period! And you hit the fascism thing on the head......I think it's hilarious when liberals call republicans "fascists" when their party does whatever it can to silent dissent. You criticize or make a good point, they call you names and report you. Mussolini said that Fascism is where everything is "within the state." This is exactly what the democrats love, the state controlling everything. Liberals only love freedom of speech when it furthers their agenda. They are the true "fascists," and deep down, they know it.
- Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter are NOT liberals yet they seem to hate McCain the most.
- you mean respect like kerry got, f mcain
- i do NOT hate McCain chi guy forgot Pat Robertson who hates McCain as well.
- I'm a liberal but I have great respect for John McCain. I am worried that McCain does not have the ability to fix our economy. Perhaps you can change my mind, and I will vote for him.
- 'Thomas SR' - would you kindly pull your head out of your rear end and type some sense? Why are you stereotyping all Liberals? Don't you have an argument of your own? I don't hate him personally. I just hate the fact that he wants to continue this fraudulent war. His son has nothing to do with it.
- Another thumbs down coming my way for suggesting logic should be used in asking questions. I oughta be ashamed of myself! But I'm not: http://fallacyfiles.org/loadques.html
- I can't believe that anyone on the right has the audacity to ask a question like that after hearing the garbage thrown at the left day in and day out by conservative talk radio.
- Let's see, I've never said a disparaging word on this site or IRL about McCain. I actually do deeply respect him for serving this country with honor and distinction, and I admire the fact that he actually tries to reach across the aisle to the Democrats in order to try to get things done in the Senate. He actually shows some effort in doing his job as a Senator! I might even vote for him if Hillary gets the Democratic nomination, I also know others on the left who feel the same. Hmmm, so much for your blanket statements about "liberals hate this and that".
- I couldn't agree with you more, however I also noticed you couldn't resist using the word liberal/s yourself. That's a do as I say and not as I do attitude. I would also brush up on the meaning of fascism before using it again.
- I'm not liberal but I really cannot stand that "tub of lard!" lol!
- I'm liberal and I don't hate McCain. I don't believe the hate radio stuff about liberals or McCain. I do see McCain as a threat to abortion rights and see him as someone else who will keep the war going on and on, which I think is useless. But if someone had to be President who's a Repub, he or Rudy were the two I could live with. Even though I disagree with nearly everything both believe, I respect both of them as people, since it's difficult to respect politicians. But McCain is actually able to work with Dems, which is refreshing. But Dems are usually able to work with Repubs, Dems don't see it as being a traitor if you work with other politicians. You must not read the other questions on YA Politics or listen to conservative tv or radio pundits, since I've never heard such horrific lies, gossip, and inneundo as I have from conservative pundits about Hillary, now Obama, and even McCain! I can't believe how some of the most venonous conservative pundits dislike McCain and call him a liberal-it's the craziest thing I've seen. Liberals can't come close to the rot of Rush and Coulter: On Hannity & Colmes Feb 14 show, Alan Colmes asked Ann Coulter, "Why do you keep emphasizing his [Sen. Barack Obama's] middle name as if you're trying to associate him with Saddam Hussein?" Coulter replied, "Because I think it's funny." During the interview, Coulter referred to Obama as "B. Hussein Obama" twice and injected: "Get ready for President Hussein, and let's start planning for the next president." Rush Limbaugh revived his claims on his show on Feb 14 about Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's so-called "testicle lockbox," stating: "Clinton's testicle lockbox is big enough for the entire Democrat hierarchy, not just some people in the media. ... Her lockbox, her testicle lockbox can handle everybody in the Democrat hierarchy." Limbaugh later claimed that Clinton "reminds men of the worst characteristics of women they've encountered over their life: totally controlling, not soft and cuddly. Not sympathetic. Not patient. Not understanding. Demanding, domineering, Nurse Ratched kind of thing." Why do conservatives like this, who are listened to by millions of conservatives, hate Hillary and Obama?
- Check out my links. This is partially the reason I do not support him. I refuse to support any candidate who will aide in the downfall of America. See also: Clinton, Obama. In reference to the Iraqi war: I have a lot of close friends (and a soon-to-be ex husband) who have served/are serving. Every single one of them is p*ssed about it. They're not angry that they're in a war (they signed up for it), they're angry because we're over there fighting under false pretenses. We cannot "agree to disagree" on something that is tearing apart families, killing thousands of lives all because of selfish agendas of the US government (Throughout history, criminal elements inside governments have carried out terror attacks against their own populations as a pretext to enslave them.) See also: http://www.prisonplanet.com/911.html and http://www.infowars.com/?cat=28 Also, most liberals are democrats, and in the democratic community there is only a 7% approval rating for the Iraqi war. I think it's safe to say that, aside from every other reason under the sun, that alone is enough of a reason not to support him.
