Will Obama have the guts to debate Senator John McCain?

This is a very simple question. Will Obama have the guts to Debate McCain before the election? It is quite obvious that McCain is the experienced candidate. He has reached over the aisle while Obama has fantasized about it. Also, McCain has a record to back up his words. Will Obama enter the truth and firestrom of McCain at a debate?

Public Comments

  1. Absolutely, McCain isn't a match for him.
  2. he'll bury that old fart.
  3. No. McCain will call him on all of his falacious positions and utterances. He will completely tear him apart.
  4. Obama's speeches and debates are absolutely amazing. i would love to be a public speaker like him one day. McCain should not be intimidating at all to Obama, even if he has more experience, Obama has the people :)
  5. He already did and he's not even the Democratic nominee. McCain took a shot at Obama's comments about maintaining a presence in Iraq if needed to confront Al Qaeda. McCain shot back with a snotty retort that Al Qaeda is in Iraq. Using the same snotty language, Obama didn't waste a second to "remind" McCain that Al Qaeda wasn't IN Iraq until Bush destablized the country, something that John McCain supported doing in the first place. I'd say Barack Obama is chompin' at the bit for a debate with McCain. It's McCain who should worry.
  6. I agree he will bury that old fart.
  7. Well in news today Obama and McCain were shooting at each other about Iraq, so Obama is showing some guts.
  8. What would they debate about? They agree on damn near everything except the war, which I'm frankly regarding as beating a dead horse by now.
  9. no he got balls that are bigger
  10. yes
  11. John McCain wouldn't debate Obama. If it were to happen Obama would slaughter him. Why doesn't Huckabee debate McCain? Or Ron Paul?
  12. If Obama uses answers like he did regarding Al Qeda in Iraq as he clumsily did today, McCain will wipe the floor with him. Al Qeda was and is everywhere. The fact that they came running to oppose our Military in Iraq is not only expected but a real plus. Trained Al Qeda operatives do not just materialize. If they are in Iraq they are not somewhere else. If you have to fight them what better way than with your Military in a foreign land? What is the alternative? To fight them with office workers in Manhattan? Boy, let me debate this Obama. What a lightweight! *
  13. Okay personally I think that Mc Cain Will beat Obama just think about it Obama "can" get high votes but America doesn't need that big of a change I think we're not ready well not trying to be racist but we're not ready for a president like him.He would not be the right guy he may have the guts but not necessarily going to win...that's what I basically think.
  14. To answer your question; If Obama was smart he would avoid John McCain at all costs. John McCain would grind Obama into Hamburger. John McCain has already called Obama a empty suit, and during the debates he will prove it true.
  15. Neo con truth now that should be good to hear McCain defend....man I will pray for republicans....f.p
  16. McCain might fall asleep.
  17. I would advise McCain to have a ventriloquist available if he wants to have a debate, Obama will eat his old ass up
  18. He definately will because that is his strength. Talking about things.
  19. Assuming he wins the nomination, he is going to have to debate McCain.
