Picture if Barack Obama with no hand over his heart during the National Anthem.?

I like Barack Obama, but there was a picture of him standing beside Hillary while the National Anthem was playing. Each person in the picture had their right hand over their heart, except Barack Obama. Many people will say that this is a none issue. I served in the military for 20 years and consider such small none isues an issue. In Bill Clinton first term in office, there was much to do about him saluting the Marine guard incorrectly. Now here we have a presidential candidate who is shown not acknowledging the flag. Is this an issue or is it ok for a potenetial commander and chief to just blow off such an important part of being American. Is this showing a disrespect to those of use who have served and those that are still seving and have given all that can be given in the name of our freedom and our democracy?

  1. You are going to base your opinion on one picture of him standing at attention during the national anthem? One time out of thousands of times where he forgot to put his hand over his heart instead of at his sides? Google "Bush saluting the flag" and you will find several pictures of him holding his hand over his belly button. Is that a big deal, too? Oe does he just not know where his heart is?
  2. ya i can imagine that
  3. That bothers you, but when the commander and chief calls the Constitution a god dam piece of paper that OK. Get your priorities straight.
  4. First of all who knows how many times he has held his hand over his heart, this may have just been an accident. And secondly, in my opinion that's just a tradition. As a member of the military I can see how you view it as something more, but in my eyes, it's just a tradition, so no big deal. I guess it depends on how you look at it and how much stock you put in it.
  5. your service don't mean crap. you got paid, didn't you. patriotism is bs
  6. Hey, if you have a dog in one hand and a beer in the other, some things can't be helped.
  7. There is no standard that states putting your hand over your heart is preferable to just standing at attention. This is a "made up" controversy. If this angers you, NEVER go to a sporting event. Last time I went, well less than 1/2 the people put their hands on their hearts. I'm a Veteran and this bothers me not in the least.
  8. you put your hand on your heart for the Pledge not the anthem. Did you watch the Super Bowl? By your assessment there were 70,000 unpatriotic people at the Super Bowl, including the Players and Members of our military.
  9. This is a very big issue to me & lots of others. If you love your country & are proud of it then what's wrong with placing your hand over your heart.I'll tell you.Because it will be seen by many, many people & Obama cannot & will not allow that to happen. Is his hand too heavy to lift & place over his heart.I think not.He is totally committed to his cause & when it's such a simple thing to do,he will not do it because we the people & our dear flag do not mean a thing to him.I'm sure he has been in training for quite some time to do just what he is doing right now, trying to take over. This country has no higher office than that of being president & that is what he has been trained to do,take over that office. There are several countries that i don't have to mention that want to jump in & take America down. They truly do believe we are all idiots & will fall for the right person. What better way than working from the inside. They are right, look where he is at now & with very little experience. He is being guided by others to get in office & take us down.I want my family safe.I've had my only Son murdered but i have a daughter & Grandkids that deserve a chance in this world.A free country.
  10. This photo could easily be forged or doctored and taken out of context. For example I could crop someones head and place it on anothers body using software such as photoshop
  11. It's not an issue at all. The media and people who call themselves Patriots make it an issue. Yeah those are the most un-American people out there, the posers. It's a free country bungholes. Get a life! I am sure that the sane majority does not feel it's an issue.
  12. I'm sorry that you're such a cynical and angry individual. Although I applaud you for your service to our country, I truly feel that you are out of line by suggesting that Obama is blowing off our flag and country. It's ridiculous to judge a presidential candidate from one photo. Personally, I'm much more offended about the woman who continues to stand by her man, Bill Clinton, who while as President, was in the oval office with Monica and blowing off the important business of our country just to get some jollies.
  13. Yes I saw it but his brain washed followers have not .
  14. It is not an issue. The concern here is your inability to spell. Try spending less time worrying about things that are over your head and more time focusing on the simple things like using proper grammar.
  15. I can't believe that these people who DON'T think it is a big deal for the president to acknowledge the flag are even allowed to vote. The potential president, the face of the leadership of this country should have to properly acknowledge the flag and that means putting his hand over his heart......You posters definitely worry me.
  16. I AGREE WITH YOU 100%!!!!! THAT IS ONE OF THE DOWNFALLS OF THIS COUNTRY. PEOPLE MISTAKE RESPECT OF OUR COUNTRY AND FLAG WITH THE A$$ES IN OFFICE!! NO ONE WHO DOES NOT RESPECT OUR FLAG, THE SYMBOL OF OUR GREAT COUNTRY, BELONGS IN NO PUBLIC OFFICE!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. It is a picture that was taken during the National Anthem, not the Pledge of Allegiance. There are pictures, videos out there that show him with his hand over his heart for the Pledge. Second: When you do put your hand on your heart to pledge, it is customary to be facing the flag, NONE of the people in the picture were facing the flag. I love how so many people say he's disrespecting the flag. It is simply not true.
