Serious question for Ron Paul Revolution...?

Given the reality that Dr. Paul will not be elected President this time around, should we look longer-term? McCain would be an atrocious warmonger who will never secure the borders...Hillary would be more benign but obviously still bad. Obama I could tolerate, and I think that if he delivers on his message of change, then it will soften the ground for Dr. Paul in an upcoming race. He has proven he can raise as much money as he needs, he will be taken seriously when the time comes and raise even more money. So...for the purposes of one day having a President Paul, not to mention surviving the next 4-8 years, should we agree to vote Obama this time around?

  1. If Mike Huckabee and Ron Paul combined win 58% of the remaining delegates they will have to have a brokered convention. It can be done. and an fyi: Karl Rove gave the maximum donation allowed to John McCain....
  2. I won't vote until November having already voted for Ron Paul in the primary. I would vote obama before McCain, and plan for 2012, happily with Ron Paul, or even with a successor designate who is committed to his ideas. However, I am hoping there might be third party better than McCain and Obama to vote for. Not confident, mind you. In any event, the Republican party won't have my vote if McCain is the candidate.
  3. I like Paul but having three conservatives in the race against McCain is letting a liberal take the primary with less than 40% of Republican support. This is a disgrace, Paul should drop out now for the good of the party before it's too late (or maybe it's already too late).
  4. I really liked Ron Paul but you are right that there is just no way that he will become our president this time around. I have been thinking about this also and I live in Texas so I haven't got to vote yet. Personally, I'd rather see Huckabee or Obama win rather than McCain or Clinton. I think that sadly McCain or Clinton need to win this time around simply for the fact that they will both destroy this country even worse than it already is. By the time that they are done running this country into the ground, more people will open up their eyes and beg for Ron Paul to run again. Sometimes it has to get worse before it gets better.
  5. Is this a joke? Senator Obama is NOT the change candidate.. He voted in favor of reauthorizing the Patriot Act, cannot pledge to have all troops out of Iraq by 2013, supported Bush's sanctions against Iran and co-sponsored a bill designating the Iranian National Guard a terrorists organization, favors amnesty for illegal immigrants, is generally for big government and accepts contributions from influential lobbyists, corporations & special interest groups. Congressman Paul however voted against the Patriot Act, plans to withdraw troops out of Iraq as soon/safely as possible, is against Bush's sanctions against Iran and chooses to handle the matter with diplomacy, against amnesty for illegal immigrants, for fair trade and genuinely for limited government & lower taxes. If your going to vote for another candidate in the primary I suggest you support Senator Clinton, she's not perfect.. but she's the best option left. Senator Obama voted for President Bush's energy bill, sending more than $13 billion in subsidies and tax breaks to oil, coal, and nuclear companies, Senator Clinton voted against it.... Senator Obama stated he’d invade Pakistan, while Senator Clinton stated she’d work with their government in order to counter terrorism.. Senator Clinton’s Iraq withdrawal plan will have combat troops home within a year period, while it will take Senator Obama two years & lastly Senator Obama wants to increase troop presence in Afghanistan, while Senator Clinton supports a phased withdrawal.
