Barack Obama muslim?

I heard from someone recently telling me that Obama was outed as a muslim on the news? Does anyone have any links to some articles concerning this?

1. No resources, but, I heard he was once a Muslim and then he converted to Christianity.
2. Obama is not a Muslim. He is a Christian. He has been a practicing Christian for 20+ years. Just because the father that abandoned him and his mother early on in childhood is/was a Muslim, does not automatically make him of the same faith. Do not blame the "sins" of the father on the child.

13. His biological father and step father were both Muslims. His mother who is now deceased was a secular person. Some say she was an Atheist. No one knows what she was for sure, not even Obama. In any case, he has strong family and friends Muslim ties but he belongs to a very radical Christian Church in Chicago, led by a very radical black minister. Obama has stated that he supports the doctrines of that church, so it is questionable as to whether he is truly Christian or not. As they say, "perception is reality". You figure.

15. Obama appears to be a regular member of a Black Christian Church. I have read that according to Muslim law, if your father is Muslim So are you. Farrakan, the head of the USA Black Muslims endorsed Obama, and Obama reluctanly, changed his first answer in the debate last night about appreciating Farrakan's endorsement. He sure waswavering though. To me what religion he is doesn't mattter what bother's me is Obama is always playing games with the truth and trying to be all things to everybody, so I don't trust him. Bets are on the Barrack Obama leaked his own Turban Photo to score a triple play in his ongoing underhanded tactics in this race. His reasons are obvious: 1) Obama Let the Photo Surface -- before anyone else does 2) Obama gets to publicly whine and Blame Hillary and or McCain and attack them as "Divisive" (???) 3) Great Photo Op (who believed his last absurd photo op ploy about the "Top Secret Meeting with Edwards? It worked though, just like this latest media frenzy over the Turban, the press was all over the "Secret Obama Edwards Meeting" appearing to be a satellite photo... Give me a break!). I suppose he wanted an Edwards endorsement and could only get Dodd instead. Poor Obama ;-( Then there is the BIG BONUS Home Run. Since Obama loves to play all sides of every issue, including that he wants the Black Muslim and Muslim Votes and Support, he gets to be their "victim" poster child. Home Run for Obama... way to go. NOT! Score a HOME RUN FOR OBAMA in his Turban!
16. Are you really that stupid? This has been played out each and every day on Yahoo answers and over the Internet. There is NOTHING about Obama that remotely suggests he is Muslim, and if he was, it wouldn't matter anyway. His father was an atheist by time he was born, his step-father was non-practicing (think "lapsed Catholic"). And this nonsense about "Muslims consider you a Muslim for life if your father was..." is so much stupidity. Even if true, WHO CARES? I'm sure there are born again Baptists somewhere who think that if they sprinkle some water on my head, that makes me one of them. I decide what I am, and Obama decides what he is, whether Muslims, right-wing sphincters or Hillary supporters try to paint him otherwise. You can rest assured that if Obama was "outed" as a muslin, you would not need to ask for links to articles, it would be on the front page of every newspaper in America, not ot mention the networks! Why is it so hard to believe that Obama is not a muslim? If someone told me that you were a muslim, would that make it true?

You can find countless articles claiming Barack Obama is a muslim, but if you check the source of the article or check the authors name against some userful online databases you can quickly discredit it as propaganda or an outright lie. I use www.sourcewatch.com and snopes.com to check any articles I think are misleading and to corroborate their accuracy. If the source is a right-wing think tank, or a similar group like free republic, it's dismissed. I also take the author's name and will cross check it in Wikipedia, Google and sourcewatch, just to see if the author is a political pundit or mouthpiece from the other side of the aisle. I also use breakthechain.org which tracks chain e-mails that are full of lies, hate filled material, and inaccurate facts about political candidates. I do this with any email I read of a political nature before I forward it to anyone on my email list. Also, consider the source: typical right wing misinformation clearinghouses for this sort of nonsense are: fox.com, newsmax.com and freerepublic.com. In this day and age of information assaulting us on all sides, it is very important for readers to do their Due Dilligence (DD) on any article that sounds fishy. Chances are, it's a fabrication or a lie.
