Experience. Senator Hillary Clinton or Senator Barack Obama?

I've been reading and keeping up on the political debates that have been going on. The one thing that I keep hearing from the Clinton camp is that Obama lacks experience. I understand that Hillary entered the US Senate in 2001 and Barack entered in 2005. Has Hillary done any governmental jobs prior to that? I think people are running her and her husband, Bill's, accomplishments together. HE served as US President. Can we then let Hillary put that on her resume? To me, both are new to US Government, Hillary may have a slight lead of 4 years, but it is not enough to call her opponent inexperienced, or is it? Where is her 35 years experience? All I, and most of America, know about is her run in the US Senate. Both Hillary and Obama are attorneys, I don't know about her 35 years as a politician, just her husbands. Please elaborate.

  1. I think it is.
  2. Both are too inexperienced to President.
  3. Hilliary has experience being in politics longer and in higher postions, such as "First Lady". She attended lots of functions in that position, and you simply cannot toss that aside. I will vote for Clinton. I do not like her Universal Health Care package. But I believe that America is not ready for a black president, and if he is the nomination we will have another Republican as the next president....God Forbid!
  4. Hillary lacks Good judgment "iraq war" During the Clintons two terms in office they did nothing to protect America from Al Queda. During their watch: 1 First attempt to blow up WTC 2 Black Hawk Down 3 Explosion of three U.S. embassies in Africa 4 Bombing of the USS Cole In 1997 a high ranking AlQueda member defected to the US and told the CIA everything they needed to know about Bin Laden. 9/11 happened only eight months after president Bush was sworn in. The mess of the last seven years is the result of the Clintons neglect of our national security. Does anyone hold hillary responsible for the lost of thousands of American lives, billions of dollars & more hates around the world because of the IRAQ WAR?
  5. You're right. Being married to someone in office is very different from being in command. They are both inexperienced.
  6. No, I don't think she has any more experience than Obama. But to tell you the truth, I hate that the democratic candidate is going to be either Obama or Clinton. I think they are both worthless. Neither one has enough experience to run our country. And you are absolutely right that Clinton is trying to fly on her husband's coat tails. She wouldn't have even become Senator if it hadn't been for Bill. He was a good President, but that certainly doesn't mean she will be. Yeah, under Clinton we had a lower unemployment rate, great economy, etc. but that doesn't mean that Hillary can fix it!!!! She is so flighty with her politics. God only knows what she'd do to this country. And Obama...gee don't get me started on him! He comes from an extremist muslim family. He "was" a muslim and then turned around and joined the Church of God for his campaign. And he swore into the Senate with the karan and not the bible. Our country was founded on the bible, so what is that saying for him??? I'm a democrat who is voting republican this year!!!!!!!!
  7. Ahh but they both have lifelong experience as liberals. BZZZZT. Both are disqualified.
  8. No thinking person would allow Hillary to include her eight years as First Lady on her resume, despite the fact that we all know who wears the pants in THAT marriage of convenience. You wield no political clout as First Lady, and we all know that "her" health care plan was a joke. So yes, the only advantage Hillary has over Obama is 4 years in the Senate, and if you look at her record she didn't do anything of substance during those 4 years (except vote to go to war in Iraq and then back-pedal later when the political winds changed direction...)
  9. Dave has a lot of good points. Clinton has 4 more years of experience compared to Barack, plus the experience of being First Lady. Although she wasn't calling the shots while she was First Lady, she still seen how it went down. Therefore she is a better candidate with more experience compared to Obama. Four years is a long time, ya know? Hillary is 3rd in line for me. Paul, McCain, then Clinton. It ends there.
  10. State Senator Bill Brady (R) from IL said it best. No one can be fully prepared for the Presidency- But they can have useful experiences -particularly the responsibility's of running a city as mayor,or a state as governor or being a military unit leader. Obama lacks that experience You learn as much from your losses in experience of running things as you do from your successes. and he doesn't have either. Clinton is a former lawyer,a champion for children's needs,a former first lady who traveled the world meeting with other countries leaders during her husband term as President, she has served 2 terms as a Senator from New York and have work on many issues within the Congress She has the qualifications and experience to be President. Its Hilary time Clinton 08
  11. Hillary has 35 years in politics. Obama just 4 years.Think about it.
  12. Hillary CLINTON is the best candidate for the presidency, because she has much more experience than any other candidate and she has high competent personalities to help and to council her. She has an answer to every question and an action plan if needed. That is what I call a really high qualification for the post for the presidency.
  13. There are allot of politicians with more experience than Hillary in Washington. That does not mean that they should lead the country. Experience is good but the character of the candidate should be the deciding factor. They are after all the one chosen to represent the United States to our children and the world.
