Wow. Joe Scarborough defends Mitt Romney against the Media?

No, this isn't about that AP guy anymore. It's about the fact that John McCain lost among Republicans in South Carolina, Nevada, Michigan, and Iowa, but that isn't the story. On the other hand, says Joe, "if it were Mitt Romney who had gotten the votes that McCain had, the story today would be that he failed to get the Republican votes in each of those states." He basically went to the bat, pointing out that Romney won among Republicans in each of those states and that McCain lost among Republicans in each. He said that the only reason that isn't the story today is that the Media likes McCain but they don't like Romney. Lest you think this is just a rant, here's my question: do you think the "liberal" media are biased against Mitt Romney and towards John McCain?

Public Comments

  1. No, I don't think the "liberal" media" is biased toward McCain. Journalists always talk up the underdogs, then tear them down once they rise to the top. Their next big thing will be talking about McCain's "stumbles," followed by Romney and McCain "taking the gloves off" once again.
  2. Joe really did not defend him. What he highlighted was that the media is not really talking about Mitt Romney the way they have the others, even though Mitt has the most Republican delegates. He is not considered the underdog, McCain, Huckabee were, so they would be highlighted more.
