Is John McCain a championship caliber flip-flopper?
In his last and all his previous elections going back to the beginning of his career John McCain proudly wore the mantel of maverick. That was always his message before he became frontrunner. Now things are different and McCain advertises himself the true conservative. All those liberal bills he sponsored are dismissed as election propaganda and candidates with values are called flip-floppers if they weren’t born thinking the way they think now. Being right doesn’t seem to matter to one of the most destructive Senators in history. Refusing to grow up and admit mistakes is somehow suppose to make you a worthy leader. McCain is like his political benefactor, move-on-dot-org, totally without the ability to realize that stupid decisions reap destructive results. His history as a politican confirms this is McCain's most fatal trait.

- I think you are delusional if you think Romney isnt as bad, or even a bigger flip flopper than McCain...
- McCain voted against the Bush tax cuts in 2001 and in 2003 because he said they benefited the wealthy. He's only for them now because they worked. He supported Amensty for illegal immigrants and called the rest of us Racist against Mexicans if we didn't agree with him. Now he says he's for securing our borders, but I ask you whey the hell isn't his border fence in Arizona complete. McCain's been in office there for nearly 25 years. Isn't that enough time for him, or maybe perhaps he doesn't really care? He called Christians "agents of intolerance back in 2000. He threatened to leave the Republican party back in 2000 and was considering running with Kerry. He is the champian of McCain-Feingold which he thought would silence the conservative base by posing restrictions on political speech. Do you need more? In 2005 he opposed federal ban on gay marriage, then in 2006 he supported it. McCain always plays the veteran card. Well my granfather was a veteran, but that didn't qualify him to be the President. I voted for a real conservative today. I voted for Mitt Romney. I'm from Massachusetts. When he became governor here, we had a $3 BILLION deficit. Mitt balanced the budget every year, he streamlined the government and threw out wasteful spending and he took that $3 BILLION deficit and turned it into a $700 MILLION surplus. He did this without raising taxes. He raised fees which hadn't been reviewed in more than 20 yrs and indexed them into inflation and he also cut out some tax loopholes. Mitt brought a lot of jobs to Massachusetts more than 60,000 in the efforts he made here are still in the works. We have a $1.1 BILLION facility being built by Bristol-Myers which will bring another 550+ jobs. Mitt got legislation passed that would enable the top 25% of Massachusetts students to go to any state college or university tuition free. This is what conservatives do, we reward people for working hard. As far as I recall, Mitt has always been personally prolife and anti-gay marriage (though pro gay rights - these are two separate issues). As far as healthcare. Some see it as liberal because it's a mandate, but the fact is health care is a major concern for MOST people. The plan Mitt introduced did not cost the state one more dime than it was already spending and it got a lot of people insured that weren't insured before. This he did with a conservative approach. Mitt proposed a 10 yr moratorium on sales tax for hybrid vehicles back in 2002. This shows he's not talking out both sides of his mouth about getting off the dependence on foreign oil. Regardless of what happens, I can't tolerate looking at McCain anymore after the lies he told about Mitt and the sneaky dealing with Huckabee in West Virginia. I think McCain and Huckabee are both scumbags for that dirty deal and I will NEVER support either one of them. If Mitt is not on my ballot in November, I will write his name in.
