My new fuji xd memory card for the camera is "not initialized"?

how do I fix this problem. it cost me pictures of Barack Obama. it's a brand new chip, it won't work when i put it into the camera. and all the previous ones (the exact same brand) have worked just fine.

1. Is it the camera or the computers saying this? Did the card work before? If the card suddenly stopped working, it may be genuinely faulty. You can contact the manufacturer or see their website. Some have recovery utilities. If you're willing or resigned to let go of the data, just format the card in the camera or possibly the computer. Then try to test it a bit before you put anything important on it. You could also consider a new card. XD is a bad format, but still memory cards are quite cheap these days.
2. That just means the card needs to be formatted to the camera. Look in your manual on how to do it. It will be in a menu somewhere. steve
3. go take it back....but if u dont wanna do that just go where u bought them and tell them about the problem
