Is Rush Limbaugh wrong not to support John McCain for President? Should he continue to make fun of McCain?

G.C. , So then, Limbaugh wants the U.S. to suffer for four years. Nice guy that Rush.

  1. No, it is the best thing for our party to not have someone who has shown no party loyalty to lead it.
  2. He should speak his mind...However, I think he makes statements that bring him the most listeners, and increases his wealth..... He is a powerful influence, and people listen to him...I constantly hear people repeating his talking points, that I just heard him say the day before.... I would assume that he would feel that McCain would be better than any democrat...so I feel yeah, he should support him. However, Limbaugh said yesterday, without Jimmy Carter, we never would have had Ronald Reagan....so, I think he hopes that Clinton wins and that the economy, war, etc...continue to tank, and then in 2012 the country will blame Clinton for the problems, and issue in another long term for a Republican...probably more conservative of Limbaugh's liking.
  3. If that's how Rush Limbaugh feels, then that's what he should do. Personally, I prefer Glen Beck's interpretation. As a recovering alcoholic, he compares the GOP to an addict, and the voters to enablers. They keep pushing forward candidates like John McCain and George W. Bush hoping for a better result each time. Well, this time, Beck says, it's time for some tough love. The GOP needs to "hit bottom", as it were. Maybe a couple of years under President Hillary Clinton will open a few Republican eyes and convince them to start acting responsibly.
  4. If McCain becomes the Republican candidate, he needs to change his tune.
  5. Rush has lost his influence. Looks like no one's listening to his tired old partisan act anymore.
  6. Rush Limbaugh cares about one thing: Rush Limbaugh. He has spent years cultivating a certain kind of audience. This audience does not like John McCain. Therefore, Rush Limbaugh does not like John McCain. Unbeknownst to many of you, Rush has over 20 million listeners which gives him an incredible amount of marketing clout. He just wants to keep those 20 million idiots happy so that they'll listen to the commercials on his show. That's all he cares about. Nothing else...
  7. I love that El-Rushbo is sticking to his guns, I feel the same way, if you elect Juan McCaine, you just elected a slightly to the right Democrat
  8. I think that there will be some bitterness for a while among many conservatives, and not just Rush. I think the republicans were basically car-jacked by McCain. He's not who they wanted, and now we are all just shaking our heads about how we had the perfect candidate in Romney but still allowed McCain to bully his way into the nomination. And he is a little bully. But at the end of the day, he would be better than having another Clinton in the Whitehouse. We all have our opinions, and so does Rush. The only people who have to pretend like they are happy about it and get behind McCain, are the officials in the Republican party, but Rush is not held to that standard.
  9. Rush Limbaugh supports Little Debbie Snack Cakes.
  10. Rush Limbaugh will always be a slight embarrassment to many conservatives. He's got to act the way he does to keep his job. That's the way the media works. At least give him credit for his extensive knowledge of politics, even if he presents it in a feisty, overbearing and even arrogant manner. If Rush doesn't like John McCain's position and plans for the solution of the so-called immigration problem, at least Limbaugh says that his vote will always be against Hillary or Obama. And John McCain, without waffling or abandoning his principles, is pragmatic enoiugh to modify his platform enough to suit the wants and needs of most Americans on both sides of the aisle, Hispanic and otherwise.
  11. Rush is Wrong. As a Liberal, I don't mind, but... Living in a Democracy requires everybody to accept the results of a vote. McCain has basically won the vote in the Republican Party Primaries and caucuses. Crying on the Radio because Romney dropped out does not look like Limbaugh accepts the results. So yes, Limbaugh is wrong.
