John McCain / Hillary Clinton 2008?

If John McCain holds on to his lead and avoids a brokered convention and Barack Obama wins the Democratic nomination, What are the odds that McCain will pick Hillary Clinton as his running mate and call it the unity ticket?

Public Comments

  1. None
  2. Not a chance. He will go with a conservative.
  3. Yeah -- right.
  4. Slim to none!!!
  5. About the same chance of you making love to Lindsay Lohan
  6. ZERO!!!!!
  7. don't think so she will run with obama
  8. I think it will be McCain versus Clinton for president and John Edwards for vice president.
  9. Why is that amphibian looking politic running for president? Vote for Ron Paul 2008!!
  10. never happen
  11. Pretty good. They are both puppets for the Jewish Lobby.
  12. NONE OBAMA FOR PRESIDENT!!!!!!!!
  13. 8O ! God save us all.....
  14. Not only would he NOT ask, but she would never be VP to anyone. She's way too ambitious to settle for Vice President.
  15. It would never work plain and simple. they differ on to many key points to ever make it, plus she would be to powerful and potentially over shadow him-which of course he wouldn't want. It's a novel idea to try to help "bond" the parties but it just wouldn't work. I do think that Clinton/Edwards would be phenomenal in the white house.
  16. slim to none. Their stance on a number of key issues is too polarized for either agenda. Interesting thought though...
  17. I think the chances of that are about as good as the proverbial snowballs chances in H......
  18. I think there is a rule that you can only have one A**whole in office at a time
  19. Zero, naught, none, nada, no chance, never, not even if God said it had to be.
  20. He might as well. Im sure they have discussed such things at a past CFR meeting.
  21. John McCain cannot pick Hilary as his running mate...because he is a REPUBLICAN AND SHE IS A DEMOCRAT...sorry!! They will not do a UNITY TICKET.....sorry again..
  22. The odds would be similar to Marilyn Manson converting to Evangelical Christianity and Dr. James Dobson sacraficing dogs for satan. It will be Obama/Hillary no matter what and McCain and a conservative republican as his running mate. This would be considered "good" politics by the pundits.
  23. I am still trying to figure out on what basis John McCain is considered a Rebublican........
  24. McCain and Clinton get along really well, but there is 0% chance of them being on a ticket together. Even if McCain entertained the idea of a "unity" ticket, Clinton would never accept because she has no Vice-Presidential aspirations.
  25. John McCain ==> Permanent Presence in Iraq, More Imperialism Hillary Clinton ==> Orderly Withdrawal Soon, Diplomacy John McCain ==> Profits for Drug & Insurance Companies Hillary Clinton ==> Universal Health Coverage These political philosophies just do not mix well.
  26. I doubt that will happen, but who knows.
  27. Clinton and Obama together!!!!!!
  28. If he did that he would remove all doubt about his ability to think rationally and make an intelligent decision. He would lose by a land slide. The republicans would kick him so far to the curb.
  29. none.
