Barack Obama (Vice President)?
If Obama wins who will be his vice president??
Public Comments
- I think another black man
- The words Vice President Colin Powell come to mind. He was the only good thing about the Bush administration and he wants his reputation restored. Plus, he would enjoy kicking Cheney out of that office. A couple of brothers in the White House would change things up.
- Edwards or Richardson
- Louis Farrakhan
- I lost a lot of respect for Colin Powell after the whole "Iraq is seeking uranium" debacle, but he might be a choice. He all but endorsed Obama on CNN on Sunday. Maybe Edwards? I don't think Richardson would give up being governor to be VP. I like Chris Dodd too.
- Barack will select his running mate towards the convention. His choice will probably be an effort to entice voters who would tend to lean towards the center or right.
- I would love to see Joe Biden in the VP position (personally). John Edwards would be good too (even if people said he gave an endorsment for position). Richardson might be a tactical choice (after the fact? and I doubt that) Doubtful to see H.Clinton anywhere. Update: Kucinich would attract the Martain vote.....lol
- Alan Keys. Alan Keys is an African American and a Republican, causing a politically balanced ticket, and this would probably make sure that he gets all, if not almost every African American to vote for him.
- Probably Felipe Calderon or Hugo Chavez. They seem to be Obama's favorite people! Or maybe someone from Dubai or from Tony Rezko's group. Or maybe Blagojevich! He's another sell-out!
- John Edwards
- I'm hoping it will be Bill Richardson -- he can bring in Latinos, and basically hand New Mexico to Obama. Plus he is a foreign policy guru -- an area in which Obama is weak and McCain is very strong. He'll need someone as forward-thinking as he is, yet who can still connect to mainstream America... and I'm not sure who that would be... He's a progressive, not an idiot. He won't pick a Republican. No one has done that in this country since 1864, and that was Abraham Lincoln! Source article has some interesting speculation.
- Colin Powell seems like a good choice.
