When John McCain becomes President, who do you think he will choose as his V.P.??

I would like to see what you think about this...I truly believe he is a winner. Serious answers, please!!! I appreciate it if you refrain from comedic antics. Thank you.

  1. I would hope for Romney
  2. Thankfully he will not become president. So no one.
  3. A southerner..Huckabee or Thompson. He needs to shore up his conservative support.
  4. Hopefully someone that is well versed in CPR.
  5. I hope he doesn't get elected, I'm hoping for a conservative. If he wins, I would expect a true conservative as a running mate, so that the base gets tossed a bone. Maybe Newt Gingrich?
  6. Ronald Reagan Jr. :)
  7. I don't believe he will become President, but then again... If he is the nominee, I don't see him picking one of the other leading contenders for a running mate. I don't think he goes completely unknown, but he needs someone from outside Washington. There aren't a lot of Republican governors out there to choose from, unfortunately.
  8. I am a Independent voter but one thing I will say is that I have always liked John McCain for one thing he is a Navy Veteran as I am and he served and suffered for this country as a POW,for five years so I have great respect and admiration for him but truthfully there will not be another Republican, president in this next election . It will be either Hillary Clinton,or Barack Obama, but if John McCain, did become president I could live with that without no problem what so ever as long as it is not another (Bush) in the White House.
  9. That's a tough one. Personally, I wish it would be Lieberman, but that's not going to happen. Lindsey Graham would have been in the running but there's too much rumor about his sexual preference simply because he's a soft talker and he's never been married. I think McCain would probably choose someone outside of the Republican hopefuls. Who, though? Hard to tell. I would look at moderate Republican senators. Regardless of whether or not that is the politically-savvy thing to do, I think that's who McCain is. Mark Sanford (Gov. - SC) might be an option. I'm already starting to hear some talk about it. He's an extremely fiscally responsible governor. In fact, he's so tight on spending tax dollars that it got him ranked the third worst governor in the nation. But that was by some NY hotshot. I think he would probably make a good running mate.
