John McCain for president and Mike Huckabee for vice president. What do you think?

fairly smart, What's wrong with it, according to you? Andrew V, A McCain/Thompson ticket would be interesting. I doubt Powell is going to run after his experiences with Bush/Cheney.

Public Comments

  1. So-So. I think a deal has already been made with Giulaini
  2. Good ticket but will be beaten by Obama, Hillary!
  3. I will NEVER vote for McCain. I watched the debate last night, and got so mad at McCain because every time Romney responded to his attack, McCain changed the subject. Being a POW and writing bad legislation in the senate does NOT qualify you to be president. By the way, I will never vote for Romney either!
  4. that might be ok .. but I prefer Romney/huckabee
  5. Not a good choice. Huckabee would undermine the strongest aspects of a McCain ticket. His best running mate would be Colin Powell, to emphasize his military record and experience. It also counters the possibility of a block vote based on race if Obama were his opponent. Huckabee would be a good candidate for Mitt Romney, since Mitt is traditionally a fiscal conservative and has lost most of the religious right.
  6. Apparently you don't think...that is not a good combo at all!
  7. I think if those two are elected, it'll mean the end of the US as we know it.
  8. bad move. McCain feilds constand questions about his age. His supporters are Indys. Will an Indy vote for him knowing that if he should die a religious nutjob will take his place? not likely. Minimizes McCain's draw and it doesn't guarantee evangelicals will vote.
  9. I'm reading in newspapers where Conservatives are trying to oppose McCain. I don't know why if he's the GOP's best shot.
  10. Both him and Romney would need Huckabee or some like Huckabee Both Clinton and Obama needs someone like Edwards, from the south
  11. If Huckabee ever sides with McCain that would make him a hypocrate. I would never vote for that senile stubborn old fool. He relates his military service to the economy, foreign affairs and trade. He is in General Electrics corner so they can sell their billions of dollars in worthless carbon credits. This guy already sold out the American people for so many other reasons as well.
  12. Many political analysts think that would make a great ticket. McCain would be extending the olive branch to the evangelical crowd and grabbing appeal in the south. McCain already appeals to the North, as he leads the polls among moderates. The far right will always vote Republican, the far left will always vote Democrat, so the race is always won from the middle. McCain wins with Moderates, which would give him a very good chance of winning in November. Now myself, I'd like to see a McCain/Lieberman, McCain/Powell, McCain/Schwartzkopf, or McCain/Romney but I don't see any of those as likely situations right now. I'd settle for a McCain/Huckabee or McCain/Thompson ticket though!

  14. Huckabee is a religious freak.....McCain and Giuliani. Of course I'm a democrat, but that is the combination I can stomach the best seeing as my party is intent on handing you another election by nominating unelectable people.
