3. born Muslim (never practiced the religion, but technically a Muslim by birth) --> raised atheist --> converted to Christianity EDIT: It's good to know the majority know his ACTUAL background. 7 thumbs up vs 4...so far. The ones who gave thumbs down are clearly Obama supporters that want the world to hide the fact he was born a Muslim and raised an atheist. Personally I don't care his religious background that much. But it's true.
4. He is a Christian. There have only been about 2,000 debates and/or interviews where he has brought this up. Read a newspaper or watch some t.v.

That isn't true; his father was a Muslim at birth but converted to atheism as an adult. However, he is still a Muslim in the hereditary sense even though neither he or his father practice Islam. They also may have told you that he went to an Islamic school. This is a distortion, because the school Obama attended was tolerant of Hinduism, Christianity, and Atheism as well as Islam.
6. Please...do not believe the Internet and that stupid email that was going around. Obama is a Christian. However, that shouldn't matter, what matters is that he is a strong candidate with fresh ideas.

10. He become a Christian in 1986. Was never a muslim, was raised by a white family in Hawii. When I say he became a Christian, I mean thats when actually stated going to chuch found a church home.
11. He says that he is a Christian. But many people wonder if he is really a Muslim. He was raised by Muslims, went to school as one and has been influence by them as a child. Yes, we are told that his mother is an Atheist. But think about it. Do you really think that a female Atheist would be allowed to marry a Muslim man and remain an Atheist? I don't think so. Bottom line, we don't know what he believes and that is the scary part for many of us.

13. He is supposedly a Christian currently, but his current church is more like th world church of the creator in reverse. It has given awards to Louis Farakhan of all people. It is not quite a black seperatist, but is definitely race conscience. Obama been trying to distance himself from it lately. Please see the attached articles.

16. In South Carolina, Obama also said this: "At some point in the evening, a light is going to shine down and you will have an epiphany and you'll say, `I have to vote for Barack!'" He sounds like someone preaching to his flock. ABC article mentioned above is interesting.
