Barack Obama?

Should we here in Britain and peoples around the World be somewhat concerned about the possible election of Barack Obama to the White House? From reports, it seems his upbringing has Muslim connotations and this has yet to be put to him, in open debate. Again, I read that the avowed intent of Muslims is to desroy democracy from within. Disabuse me of these stories and I would be very happy. Remember, stories could be lies too! To newswc. I don't understand the language used in the item you advise. Perhaps there is a translation?

2. Check out Obama on snopes.com and you will see that there are a lot of false stories going around about him. He also attended a Catholic school but that is never raised as an issue.

14. you are correct but Obama has tried to deny his Muslim upbringing, it is HOWEVER in his book Dreams of my Father, he now is saying he was not a practicing Muslim, and yet there are many indications in his book that he was, like study of the Holy Quran, as well as memorization. His brother is a well known leader in Muslim groups, he also mentions him in his writings, the best way to understand the source is to go to the source itself, Obama tried to distance this because of America's distrust of Muslims. Although most are peaceful and there is no evidence that Obama is affiliated with anyone who is radical other than his church affiliation with Farrakhan (although his comments are mostly racist) the church still honored him. IF you are comfortable with Obama's position that is why you should vote for him, not based on his Muslim upbringing.
