Is Mitt Romney a conservative?

or just a liberal governor from Massachussets? On abortion http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cFMdK0TWtks&NR=1 In 2002, (not very long ago) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P_w9pquznG4&NR=1 I just types in the words "mitt romney liberal" on google and it was amazing what I found. It seems to me this guy is the most liberal person to ever run for president on the republican side. Here is on interesting article I found. http://www.theconservativevoice.com/article/21907.html After reading that article, I certainly am convinced Romney is more liberal than John Mccain. On some issues I think he might be even more liberal than Hillary Clinton. It amazes me that so many conservatives are falling for this.

  1. No, neither is McCain.
  2. Depends what day it is ....
  3. I'm from Massachusetts so I should know Romney was a better governor then Deval Patrick will ever be.
  4. I have learned through my life that changing your mind on certain things can lead to a better life style. People think this is impossible for politicians. One problem with this thought process, they are humans. This is what we call a growing experience. If we quit growing we die.
  5. His views on abortion - pro choice or pro life? He believes that there should be legalized abortion in the event the mothers life is at risk or in the case of rape or incest. He has never agreed that it be used as a form of birth control. It pretty much comes down to which title you believe it falls under. I happen to be conservative and agree with him. If that makes me pro choice, then so be it.
  6. which of the positions he's changed are you referring to? do you mean how he was for abortion before he was against it or what?
  7. Conservatives: Funny how the you ended up with two people that aren't real conservatives. Romeny is a liberal posing as a conservative, and you all know what McCain is. You guys do realize you had your shot with Thompson, Brownback, Huckabee, etc all solid conservatives, and you gave up your morals to support two people who are more "electable." I thought real conservatives don't compromise their values, and you vote with the heart not the brain. Your actions and the incompetency of your leaders contributed to the division in your party. The moderate wing has now taken your power and influence away. Looks like you have no one to blame for your movement's collapse but yourselves.
  8. you see what they want you to see. do you thinks its a coincidence that all the liberal media outlets either attack Romney themselves, or give Dem's and McCain staffers platforms to do so? do you notice constant references to McCain by the Dem candidates? they want to run against McCain. they think he is more beatable!
