Is Rudy Giuliani losing GOP primary because he is most liberal candidate?

Hes pro choice, supports gay rights, and abortion. I dont think any republican candidate have had these stances on all three issues and won in recent times.

  1. Juan McCain is the most liberal.
  2. No, I think it's because he's less qualified than my dog to lead this nation.
  3. No, he is losing because he is a poor candidate and nobody wants him to be President.
  4. He's losing because he's running on false premises and people are finding out about it.
  5. He is losing because people have wised up, and aren't driven by fear. They're able to judge that he performed poorly or in a mediocre way as NY mayor. They don't like his stands on the social issues either, or the way he has tried to hedge and cover his true beliefs and intentions.
  6. No. He is losing because of his idiotic political strategy.
  7. No, he's losing because he's running a terrible campaign. He decided to sit out the race until Florida, which was a bad move. There have also been revelations of some financial misdealings, and that's hurt his image as well.
  8. I think he'd be better running as governor. Hillary would be better as a speed bumb.
  9. no, he's losing because he's a putz & a loser but he's surrounded by losers and putzs so it's not so apparent.
  10. Yep..and I called that months ago and even posted my prediction a week ago. Giuliani finishes third and then drops out. I was actually hoping he would get the Republican nomination - wow..would he be easy for a democrat to beat! They have only begun to drag his skeletons out of the closet..that wouldn't even be a contest.
  11. I'm sure that's part of it, but he's also not coming across well. He's not presenting himself as a strong leader and keeps referring to 9/11. While he may have handled that well as mayor, that alone is not sufficient to qualify him to lead the country. I haven't really heard a cohesive plan from him, where as many of the other candidates are much more clear about what they want to do. He's definitely lost a lot of the religious right with the above issues and that is certainly hurting him as well, it would be interesting to see someone who presented them self better running on that platform.
  12. no, it is because he doesn't appeal to a great mass of people and nobody outside NY really knows him
  13. He's got too many familly problems. If the man can't keep his own familt in line how is he going to run a country?
  14. All but one of the candidates are put up by the Council on Foreign Relations. It's just an illusion that they give people a choice, They just have different agendas for the different parties.
  15. While I think that this is part of it, I think his biggest problem has been tactical. Back when he was leading the Republican party in the early polls, most people knew his track record on these issues. So I don't think its some sort of awakening to his liberal tendencies that is costing him so dearly. I think what has hurt him is his strategy of throwing away the early primaries. I think that as he kept finishing 4th, 5th or 6th more and more undecideds thought he was a candidate that could not win, and they threw their support behind someone else.
  16. Liberal neo-cons say Rudy Giuliani has already lost the presidential race. It depends on whether or not you believe them. They create their own reality. I haven't seen any proof that Rudy Giuliani is losing to Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama. I see Chris Matthews on MSNBC talking about how liberal Giuliani is and how great of a war hero John McCain is, but I don't know that many Republicans that agree with Chris Matthews.
