How come Ron Paul has high online support and miniscule voter support?
They even fly Blimps for him and make dozens of fan websites. Then, these people don't bother to get off their rumps to vote for the man. What is wrong with these people?! (Not a Ron Paul supporter. I'd like to see him drop out now, for his sake).
Public Comments
- because online( like on Yahoo Answers) his supporters are allowed countless ID's In reality their opinion only matters once.
- Perhaps Ron Paul doesn't have the high online support that you may think. Things that make you go, 'Hmmmmm.'
- im not going to address the fact that you think someone with a unique message should move out of the way so that idiots like McCain and Hillary can have the day. here's the thing: one straight year of censorship and media propaganda is a bi tch. btw-how many delegates did (household name and time man of the year) Guiliani get? and boy, those crazy internet people must have a lot of crazy internet money, dont they?
- Because teenage Ayn Rand fans and White Pride members don't vote.
- It's just the way his supporters are allocated; they are almost all avid internet users. They are more rabid fans, but outside of the internet, others have much larger followings. Most Hillary fans are 45 or over, so you won't see a ton of those people on the internet, but they still exist, and vote.
- Well I live in Georgia...this weekend I went from Columbus to Dalton to Atlanta and back to Columbus...I noticed every street corner had a Ron Paul sign...I told my wife, well maybe I was wrong, maybe Paul does have a lot of support...this was until I saw a lone person putting up the Paul signs...so I deduced that it is a very small group of people spamming and putting up signs for him...it's kind of sad...
- The online people don't vote and the polls only ask "regular" people. The regular people are the ones that vote. Note how the REAL polls reflect that actual numbers closer than an Internet poll. Personally I am sick of hearing about him since he's meaningless (I know - thumbs downs for this). Most states he only gets single digit votes. He can't win. I'm also sick of reading comments from his supporters on YA and how they still claim he will be elected president. GEEZE! 5% support doesn't even get the nomination, thank goodness!
- Is it because Ron Paul's supporters are underage and can't vote? Just wondering!
- Ron Paul is more of a libertarian than a Republican, & the liberasl on here would love if he got the Rep. nomination that is why they push so hard (& type so quickly) but It will never happen.
- He does not play nice with the elites who own America. And they will not allow him to win anything. We will be stuck with another main stream democrat or republican who will maintain the status quo. Yeah that includes the phony change man Obama. The only thing he will change is his socks.
- Most of his supporters are not registered GOP members... so alot of them could not cast a primary vote (because of closed primary rules). There is still a great following for him though. If you look he gets more first time donators per week than any other candidate.
- Because Ron Paul is running for the president of the United States, not the President of Facebook, YouTube or Yahoo! Answers. All the people who are crying "media conspiracy" can suck it. Ron Paul has gotten WAY more coverage that other people who have been and were polling low (Trancredo, Gravel, Hunter, Richardson, Biden, Dodd, Kucinich). I don't even know what most of these guys look like, but Ron Paul has been talked about on every news show from CNN to FOX News and has been on pretty much every major talkshow, including Glenn Beck's program, The View, and The Tonight Show. If there is a Media Conspiracy trying to silence him, they are really sucking at it. The fact is this - the few supporters of the man happen to have a loud voice on the internet because they can spam e-mails and message boards (including this one), vote repeatedly on online and cellphone polls, and can swarm straw polls like nobody's business. But in the end, on election day, everyone is equal. Everyone's voice counts only once. And America has, with a majority voice, said no to Ron Paul. You can thumbs down me or spam me for saying this, but if you do, you will only be condeming me for what you praise "Doctor Paul" for - telling it like it is.
- Maybe people online are more in touch and educated than a television consumer that base their opinion on media hype. If your not a Ron Paul supporter why are you concerned for "his sake" ?
