  1. No I love Mitt Romney. I am for HIllary but I would not oppose Romney at all... He is a family man and they are doing well and healthy.
  2. Religion shouldn't be an issue just like race shouldn't but both democrats and republicans seem to be latching on to race and religion in order to win. Neither should be associated with politics.
  3. no one's religion (including agnosticism, secular humanism, etc) would have any bearing whatsoever on my vote. Religion is a personal matter and not, I believe, something to consider when choosing a president.
  4. There are many reasons I would not vote for Mitt Romney but his religious affiliations are not one of them.
  5. His being mormon does not bother me as long as he doesnt send out the guys in the bicycles to my neighborhood.
  6. It has no bearing on me (an ex-Mormon), but I think it negatively effects many of the ignorant evangical Christian voters. Edit: Why would you think we aren't being honest, Stephen? Not getting the answers you were hoping for?
  7. His religion unless he was into something really weird like human sacrifice should not be a factor in ones decision
  8. Oh, about the same as it would affect me knowing the guy my daughter is dating raped and killed his last girlfriend.
  9. Nope. Of the many reasons I don't support him, that is not one. But I do think people with very traditional views might be effected by this fact. EX: the Iowa caucuses.
  10. No, not at all. It should not be an issue.
  11. Knowing that mitt romney is ignorant and has no soul or qualifications makes me not want to vote for him.
  12. no i just don't trust him. He Flip-Flops too much.
  13. How about Obama belonging to a black separatist church? I don't like Mitt and I don't like Obama. At least Mitt isn't advocating racial quotas for whites, unlike Obama's devotion to them for blacks.
  14. Anyone in the church can be a bishop. Every male member is considered a priest, and they elect a bishop, who pretty much acts as the pastor of the church until his term is up, then they elect a new one. It's not that big of a title. Well I read your wiki, after you (or someone thumbs downed me) and it generally supports what I'm saying. Any male member can be a Bishop. What is the big deal anyway? Since when does athiesm become a qualification to be President? We have a right to religious freedom in this country, and that even includes the prresident. Btw, I'm not a Romney supporter. i just don't like the way the media has been attacking Romney's religion. I though we had noved past that.
  15. Not at all - our country was founded on separation of Church and State, would be nice if that was followed!
  16. Yes it Matters to Me... I will not vote for anyone that is not a Christian.. This Country was built by Christian Leaders and That is the only type of person I want in charge..
  17. Yes. And now to spoil your moment of triumph. The fact that he has been a Bishop and a Stake President means that he's lived a moral lifestyle. Mormons believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men and women. We don't smoke, drink, or do drugs. We're faithful in our marriages, and kind and loving with our families, neighbors, and pretty much everyone around us. No, not all Mormons live up to these high standards, but these are the standards that we set. The fact that Mitt Romney's served in high offices in the church is evidence that he's met these high standards and believes in them. So yes, I see it as a factor in determining whether I should vote for him. It speaks to his good character and high moral values. And I'll be voting for him. [edit] Keep 'em coming, stephen. Every time you attack Mormons, you just make US look good. And while I'm normally the "rise above the fray" guy, I'm not above reporting someone for violating Terms of Service. Go ahead. Keep up your rant a while longer. [edit] Your original question, "Does knowing that Mitt Romney ..." doesn't violate anything. But the second you suggested that people were lying for saying that it doesn't, you demonstrated that this is just a rant. Adding links to other Questions that are clearly anti-Mormon and have nothing to do with this election verifies it. But like I said, keep 'em coming. The only people you're convincing are the ones who already agree with you.
  18. religion shouldn't be a factor, just like gender and/or race - I plan on voting for him. Your obvious hate of Mormons is showing. Are you upset that you aren't geting a bunch of Mormon bashers so you had to refer to your anti-Mormon questions?
  19. yes it does bother me because i read up on mormonism and came to realize its just a large cult.
