Explain?Racist Ron Paul?
Ok..I am /was? voting for Ron Paul but some people on here were saying he is racist. So..I googled it and saw a forum talking of David Duke-Klan member-supporting Ron Paul. I went to David Dukes' website and sure enough it hurt my heart but he is in support of Ron Paul. He also has in his banner-Bring Our Troops Home. His site is full of crimes blacks have committed against white men and women and I guess he failed to mention all of the white women and children who are being killed by their white hubands. But Newayz! WHY? Is he supporting Paul? And why is he giving advice to Paul on how to win? I had hope for Paul and was voting for him so I'm not on here to bash him. If you don't believe me go to David Dukes website. Does anyone know what's really going on. Ron has some explaining to do! wow dumdum-your name fits you well. I'm not here to bash Paul. I was the main one on here cheering him on. But he has some questionable newsletters and the support of DAVID DUKE? C'mon-somethings fishy! I hope the majority of you are right. I would hate for him to be that way. I love his ideas for this country and if this is just a smear he will get my vote. I'm just concerned he's a wolf in sheeps clothing thats all.

- why would you ever even CONSIDER voting for ron paul. vote for thompson, make sure all your friends and family vote thompson.
- Vote For ROn Paul my dad put lots of money into his campain. LOL sorry.
- So just because someone else has racist views and is supporting Ron Paul...means Ron Paul is a racist too? Does that mean that if men support Hillary...then Hillary is a man?
- It's a smear. Dr. Paul is not a racist. What he is, is a huge threat to the warmongers, the bankers, monied interests. here's a video of the NY times retracting the smear. http://youtube.com/watch?v=Vu7mHIzAIv8&feature=related Here's Dr. Paul responding to the smear: http://youtube.com/watch?v=sY01Lpg5kqw&feature=related
- A racist supporting Ron Paul doesn't make Ron Paul a racist.
- It's OK, he was off his meds. They have taken him back to the home and sedated him. He is having an imaginary conversation with Strom Thurmond as we speak.
- I think what matters is what Ron Paul actually says and does. His libertarian stance is anti-racist. He says himself that if those people support him, too bad for them. They aren't going to affect what he believes. He has also stated that if they support what he says, they should stop saying those things. Don't let some people try to slander him. Even the chairman or president or whatever leader of the NAACP says that Ron is NOT a racist.
- I am not voting for Ron Paul; but the racist thing is just spin based on the fact that a white supremest donated to his campaign and instead of giving it back kept it and stated something to the effect that if he thinks this donation will in any way influence me, he is nuts. Ron Paul is probably the least racist of all the candidates since individual liberty and equality are basic tenants of libertarianism.
- "Austin NAACP President Nelson Linder, who has known Ron Paul for 20 years, unequivocally dismissed charges that the Congressman was a racist in light of recent smear attempts, and said the reason for him being attacked was that he was a threat to the establishment."
- If you have read any of Ron Paul's writings, it is clear that he stands for individual freedom for all Americans. http://www.ronpaul2008.com/issues/racism/ Go Ron Paul!
- He's not racist dear. Trust me.
- Imagine (this is a hypothetical situation...do not forget): You are the KKK. Not many people dig on the KKK nowadays, in fact many places refuse to let them have rallies and so forth for various reasons. Ron Paul is a STRICT constitutionlist.... WHICH MEANS.... The first amendment shall not be abridged in any way by the government.... WHICH MEANS.... Whether your'e the KKK or the National Cancer Society, you get to have a peaceful rally whenever you want as long as you don't harm other people. (By harm I don't mean offend, I mean physically harm) You either have freedom FOR ALL all of the time OR you have government's deciding what is 'appropriate'. The former is what the constitution was founded on and despite it being a document born of the Enlightenment, it protects freethinkers AND narrowminded people THE SAME. That is the beauty of america. Censorship is a slippery slope that begins with groups like the KKK and ends wherever your particular government decides....this is very dangerous. FREEDOM FOR ALL all of the time OR a government nanny....the choice is yours. Ron Paul believes in freedom for all no matter who it is because they are all individuals endowed with inalienable rights by their creator. Again, not advocating the KKK, just attempting to explain why freedom includes EVERYBODY. Ron Paul understands this.
- Does the fact that Obama attends an anti white church that says its allegiance is to Africa and not to the US disturb you? Does the fact that his minister attacks whites in word if not in deed not trouble you? Does the fact that racism in this church is rampant not want to make you call them racist also? Id believe Ron Paul would like to have the support of any voter. But he doesnt have to attend Klan meetings as does Obama his church. Obama says he wants to eliminate assault weapons, but his definition of assault is any gun that is semi auto. Including your grandads 22 pistol, and his semiauto browning shotguns, and your semi auto 22 rifle that you target practice with. I think this guy and Hillary are liars as well as most in both parties who are running for office. Id suggest that we all look carefully at who we are voting for and what the long range impact of their election will mean. Look also at George Soros and what he stands for and who he controls. He wants the UN to run the US and if the ones he supports get elected, this may well happen.
- I can't find the link I had before but I found a picture on a site with an article saying it was Ron Paul with some big wigg in the KKK and the guys son at a personal get together or something!! they were huddled together and looked like they were laughing together as they posed for the camera!! AFUL buddy buddy looking that's for sure..
- You can't judge a candidate by his supporters. KKK members are probably attracted to his idea of basically desintigrating the federal government and leaving all powers to the states. Since most racist clans are local, this would give them open range. After all, anti-segregation and hate crime laws are all federal and Paul basically wants to make all federal laws moot. The KKK could actually then, legally, create little KKK states around America. (I've read the constitution, too, you know. I even took a test on it. I understand what Paul's point is. Unfortunately, you apparently don't) Hello??? This is why the rest of the country thinks he's a nut job.
- Ron Paul's no racist. He's neither an anti-Semite, nor is he an Islamophobe. Trust me: Ron Paul is the best. Ron Paul all the way!
- Ron Paul's newsletter while he has been in congress has published some appalling articles based on race. Paul has denied writing them and says he does not know who did (the Reagan defence). This lack of accountability of what goes out in his name is hardly presidential and, I believe, extremely unlikely. There are numerous white supremacists supporting Paul. He gladly accepts thier money and has not really tried to seperate himself from them. May I ask what it was about Paul that you did like?
- Hey, let me tell you something. Just because some racist man supports Ron Paul doesn't mean Ron Paul is racist. And I know you aren't bashing him, but I'm wondering you are heavily confused. Ron Paul doesn't endorse other peoples' views, but he respects them. The only reason they come up with this is because they try to smear and discredit him. A newsletter also fell under his name when he was in the Libertarian Party in '88, yet RP took the blame because it was under his name. But the ghostwriter was caught and later fired from the campaign. Even the head of the NAACP says RP isn't racist, and he's black. Just take a look at the links I posted. You'll see the real result than the other misinformed sheep posting nonsense. Bye.
- While being supported by a racist is much different from being a racist, Ron Pauls ties go much deeper than that. When the head of the American National Socialist Workers Party came out and attacked Paul for turning on him and his fellow neo nazis, and announced what restaurant they were meeting at every week, it got my attention. I did a little research and found that Pauls campaign finance release also showed his campaign card was charged at the restaurant where these meetings were alleged. There is a lot more to the story available in the source below. When one racist supports you, that's one thing. But when every racist site you can find supports the same guy, somethings wrong there. To pass it off as Paul supporting free speech is ridiculous. Which candidate is running on an anti free speech platform?
