Why does everyone think that Barack Obama is Muslim? And if he were, why would that make him a bad candidate?

Just read the article at http://www.democracyarsenal.org/2007/12/the-obama-musli.html Obama is NOT Muslim, for all that think he is. He is Christian. His grandfather converted to Muslim after World War I, and his stepdad was muslim. Barack Obama is not Muslim, and even if he were, it would not make him a bad candidate for presidency. Donald R - No, I am not stupid. What you said is racist, whether you want to hear it or not. Just because he comes from a Muslim household does not mean he believes in his family's ways. Take your racist sh*t elsewhere. Louis S - His Muslim father left him at two years old, and his stepdad did not embrace Islamic ways. Therefore, he has no REAL ties to being Muslim, besides the biological factor and living with his stepfather. Also, he converted to Christianity. Do your reasearch. I got my info from other sites, not his site. I did my research.

  1. Not necessarily. I don't like him because he's a socialist. It's got nothing to do with religion.
  2. Obama has muslim decent i belive. It woy\uld make him a bad canditae because tho it wrong our country hates Muslim cuz we associate all Muslims will AL Qaeda . Thats America 4 u
  3. He's not. His parents were and he converted to a twisted strange form of Christianity.
  4. They think so because his name is a Muslim (Mainly Arabic) one. And if he were Muslim, it would not make him a bad candidate.
  5. Yes it would make him a bad candidate. One can never be a use to be Muslim. We are at war with Radical Muslims, and from what I've seen of this guy, he hasn't exactly given ANYONE a warm comfy he knows his asss from a hole in the ground in regards to foreign policy.
  6. Everyone does not think him a Muslim. Informed voters (those that do not have their head in the sand or are full of hate) are aware that Obama is a Christian and has said so everytime he is asked (which is a great many). There is no point in answering why it would make him a bad candidate if it were true because it is not true and therefore irrelevant.
  7. isn't he a muslim and a christian at the same time as if that's even possible. that's why he's a bad candidate.
  8. Once a Muslim, always a Muslim. Second part of your question: Why would a Muslim be a bad candidate? Are you freaking stupid? Remember 9/11? Remember that this country was formed based on "In God We Trust!" not in "Allah We Trust!" You democrats are going to ruin this country that the founding fathers created with thoughts like yours!
  9. It is a lie and a rumor being spread by the right wing to frighten the stupid and the gullible. They are trying to connect him to Al Queda and to upset the evangelists.
  10. If he is/were, it would make him a bad candidate because he would - even if subconsciously - make the best-interests of the United States subservient to his Muslim religious beliefs. His religious beliefs would infiltrate his decision making abilities, giving prefence to those countries where today's terrorists are spawned. It is not necessarily those country's fault at the state level, but many of the Muslim religious schools in the Arab-World do in fact teach hate and terrorism toward all things Western, especially the United States.
  11. Musliim roots run deep. If you come from a Muslim household, with a father and grandfather who is Muslim, and your family in Kenya is Muslim, and your own brother is Muslim, and you attended school as a young boy in a madrassa where Muslim teachings are initiated, and he is trying to hide the fact that he once was a Muslim - I would say he is a Muslim - since the teachings say: Once a Muslim always a Muslim. Now - it wouldn't necessarily make him a bad candidate - although some voters might be leary of his agenda as it relates to plans by Islamic extremists who have continually threatened to "kill Americans" since 9/11 - but it is his DECEPTION of his past and ASSOCIATION with radical racist extremists here in our country - that make him a bad candidate, no matter how you try to white-wash it.
  12. 1. Xenophobia. 2. Ask a xenophobe. First words will likely be "I'm not racist but..." or "I'm not against Islam or anything but..."
  13. Thank you.
  14. You need to do some very deep research .You would be shocked at what you will learn. Don't go on his webs site . he is not a red blood American He and Oprah's both have have interest in Africa and Kenya. Do your research and make you own opinion. I would give you the sites but my sister borrowed all my info. She is a school teacher. She wanted to know more about him also.
  15. Everyone doesn't think Obama is a Muslim. Being Muslim wouldn't make him a bad candidate. Those that think that are usually not aware that it is radical Islam that is to be feared and not Islam itself. That said, I would never vote for anyone who says there is nothing wrong with killing an unborn child or allowing people of the same sex to get married. j
  16. Very twisted logic. Remember these are people who think all Catholic priests are pedophiles and all Hispanics drive a taco truck. Stupidity runs rampant here . The new governor ofLouisina is only 36 years old, and he is Indian American. These same people would swear he's a snake charmer. There are many fine Muslims in this country, and many will vote. It must be very hurtful way the "intellectually challenged" speak of them. You have many of this caliber on your post right here. Say hello to Lillian.
