  3. Our national borders are much more important. The image of a vast and technologically advanced jihad coming to "take us over" really makes me laugh because it is not in tune with reality. The terrorism hysteria fed to us and pounded in again and again by Bush is mostly a facade. It's meant to rule us through fear so we can continue the bogus war/occupation in Iraq which is making a few certain people extremely rich... To compare some scattered and technologically lacking Islamic terrorist factions with the Nazi Germany machine or the Russian nuclear regime is just laughable. Unwarranted fear is slavery to the powerful! Think for myself: Wow, saying that all infidels must die makes you sound EXACTLY like one of them
  4. Of course, and Muslims have a much higher birthrate than western countries, so it's going to become more and more of an issue as time goes by. And we have the little morons running around this country saying terrorism is being hyped and isn't much of a threat because they have their head in the sand and want to spend defense money on nationalized health care. They just aren't paying any attention to international affairs.
  5. I believe that Jihad has the potential for affecting the world much the way communism did from the 50's into the 80's. It is not a few thousand, or even a few hundred thousand that embrace this ideology, it is many more. I think it is much more deadly in terms of violence. And I think it will be more concentrated in terms of the number of countries that adopt it, but the attacks will be wide spread. We are just at the beginning of this scourge of society. And, the worst part, is there is no peaceful resolution to Jihad. It calls for the deaths of ALL infidels, regardless of anything, but adoption of this radical ideology. Our borders are a NO BRAINER, but I guess there are no brains in Washington.

  7. We need a holistic approch to all of the issues. Picking one and harping on it isn't exactly informative. Corporate capitalism sucks the blood out of the middle class and the American wage-earner. If that weren't the case, the middle class would thriving instead of declining. Medical insurance would be universal and affordable and higher education would be likewise affordable. We need to enforce entry at the border, but we also need a workable guest worker program. We need to stop this charade that the US can ever put enough 'boots on the ground' in the middle east to overcome the resistance of all those 'sandles on the soil'. We need to use covert operations against the middle east lunatics....70 ton tanks driving back and forth along the pot holed roads of Iraq and Afghanistan sure as hell ain't doin' the trick. We need to move at flank speed toward 21st century technology that can drive a stake through the heart of the fossile fuel mafias. We need to stop borrowing and start paying our bills with cash up front and stop believing the right wing fairey tale that 'trickle down' economics works....it doesn't. If it did we wouldn't be having this conversation. Mitt and the rest of the current GOP are totally last century...they look back on a past that never was, ignore the present and long for some kind of fascisti future that has no room for real thinking. Don't vote for any of these Republicans..they have no clue, they're not your friends and their incompetence is obvious....if they knew what they were doing we wouldn't be in this mess...would we?
