Why do LDS members, such as Mitt Romney, not want the world to know they believe God has a wife in heaven he makes babies with? LDS SAY: Now get this.. ALL OF US... All humanity began as spirit children of Mr. and Mrs. God.. Jesus and Lucifer are part of ALL of God's creation.. “ This doctrine that there is a Mother in Heaven was affirmed in plainness by the First Presidency of the Church (Joseph F. Smith…)(Man: Origin and Destiny, p.348-355.) I'm going to skip the Bible verses that say Jesus is the Creator of all and get right to the ones that deal with refuting pre-mortal existence... BIBLE SAYS: "Howbeit that was NOT FIRST WHICH IS SPIRITUAL, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual." (1 Corinthians 15:46 --"...the Lord, which stretcheth forth the heavens:...and FORMETH THE SPIRIT of man within him."   2. It is very simple.....and I will use the bible Is Jesus son of God , Yes or No ? Yes, God sent his son according to John 3:16. Is satan a fallen angel yes or no ? Yes....Ezekiel 28:11-15 Are all angels sons of God? Yes according to Job 1:6 and 2:1 Was Jesus son of God in heaven? Yes, according to Hebrew 1:5 , Colossians 1:15-17 and Revelation 10:1-3 then if Jesus is son of God almighty (firstborn) and Satan is son of God, what conclusion you arrive? Satan is a son of God, a bad one like or not but is a son of God. can you prove with the bible Jesus is not son of God and also that Satan is not a son of God either?
  3. How do you know these is not a Mother in heaven? The Bible never says if there is or isn't, so Christians cannot be 100% sure there is not. Oh and no, Mormons do not believe Jesus and Lucifer were literally brothers. It says in the Bible that God made the angels (our souls, basically. However, we do not know how he created us so we don't believe he "makes babies in heaven") and that Satan is a fallen angel. It says ALL angels are sons of God, and obviously Jesus is the Son of God. Sooo doesn't that mean they could be considered "spiritual" brothers? Since we believe Jesus and Heavenly Father are two separate people, we believe those verses mean that Heavenly Father created Jesus too. So Jesus and Lucifer are also "brothers" in the sense that they have the same creator... they aren't LITERALLY brothers. Saying "They believe they are brothers!" is totally twisting the doctrine. I'm so sick of your Mormon bashing. It's tiring, rude, and annoying.

  5. Because the Bible says that God IS THE FATHER OF US ALL!!!... Non-Mormon Christians didn't get it from the beginning and now they use it to attack the Mormon religion... They do it out of envy...!!!
  6. The natural man does not mean physical man. The natural man lies, steals, and does anything to get further in life. The spiritual man knows that the earth life doesn't mean anything in the grand scheme of things and they should do good to others and help others, before helping themselves. The natural man is who we are when born, the spiritual man is the who we are when we learn and live by the gospel. As far as your quote, I googled that book and nothing with that title came up. "Man's origin and Destiny" came up and it's written by Rev. Dr. Francis Nigel Lee who teaches at a college, is not LDS, and when I googled that book's title with "Joseph F. Smith" nothing came up.
  7. Did you know you can chat with a LDS if you go to their wesite. It's funny when you show them passages that prove Jesus is God, they just change the subject, it's kinda sad really. They want to portray themselves as the true christians and use bible verses to prove it but then they tell you the only reliable source is the Book of Mormon. So why use unreliable sources when you have the only true one. I'm not Mitt;; but what does it matter what his religion is? what other presidential candidates (well except maybe Kennedy) are asked to define every aspect of what they believe in spiritual matters?

I don't need to answer that as you should now. Acts 17: 28-29 28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. 29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device. Since we are all offspring, then it would make sense that we are all brothers and sisters. It amazes me how much of the Bible many people miss. And then diss others for knowing it... Sigh
  10. Obviously you don't get the pre-existance...so I understand how the concept of all being siblings could be difficult to deal with. We have a Heavenly Father...why not a Heavenly Mother? Reread Col 1:16 please. The natural man does not equal the physical creation of all things. The Natural man is part of the nature of our physical bodies to do things not in accordance with God. As far as Zech 12:1 he wasn't giving a chronology but simply a list of things that God has done. The Spirit in you was formed by God...It doesn't mean that God formed it IN your body. See the difference?

  14. Oh.. I see the problem now!!! You are a Huckabee fan. Oh well.. we all have to believe something. Read the answers the other LDS people have given you. Notice a theme?? Since we believe that all of us (yes, even Christ!) was created by God, then we are all spirit children of God. Guess what that means.. Satan is your brother too!!!! I can see how this would be hard to accept, since it would pretty much throw the whole trinity concept out the window. As far as sex in heaven: We don't know how spirits are formed, so we really can't answer that. Guess that is one mystery of God that we will have to learn later.
