If Mitt Romney is elected President, will he be the first President with a religious deferment during war?
Mitt Romney and Huckabee both received a religious deferment to get out of Vietnam. Will this be a first for a US President? NONAME - I'm not a Clinton supporter, but he had a college deferment. Romney - Draft Deferment: Vietnam 4-D (missionary deferment) Religious Mission: Mormon France (1966-68)

- who cares as I, personally, am much more interested in what he will do" as President!
- He won't be elected President, so he will be the first for nothing. Seriously, he has no chance and if he wins the Republican nomination, it would guarantee the Democrats a win. McCain is the only Republican who has any chance of beating the Democratic candidate.
- To answer your question; Yes, But since we have already had our first draft dodger as president (Clinton) does anything other than that matter?
- What in the heck is a religious deferment? The military allows such a thing? Wouldn't God call out to them to serve their country? Guess maybe this is what prompted Huckabee's minister career.
