If the Presidential election was held on internet voting polls, would Ron Paul win easily?

I read that hes got alot more support on the internet than in society.

Public Comments

  1. He wouldn't win by any means, but his numbers would indefinitely be higher.
  2. Maybe. Who knows?
  3. ...nope!
  4. That's because there are a lot more crazies on the internet.
  5. Who...?(if you follow my drift.)
  6. Well if voting was done strictly on the computer I think the supporters of other candidates would stop by.
  7. No, because everyone would become an Internet voter and he would get his butt kicked, just like now.
  8. Possibly, but Internet polls are virtually meaningless. It would be especially true in the case of Ron Paul supporters. He apparently had a lot of support in the high-tech community, making them more likely to vote in on-line polls, and possibly automate massive vote totals for him.
  9. Ron Paul is unelectable under any forum.
  10. Ron Paul would have a tough time winnng if the only ones allowed to vote were his family. I am of course joking, but his support is around 5%. He stands no chance. If it were internet only, he would probably get 10-15%, but those who do not take polls would STILL use the internet if the vote mattered.
  11. If the election was based on people supporting a candidate because it was the cool and subversive thing to do - he would win in a land-slide.
  12. no, the Republican party would hack the computer polling system to ensure he lost.
  13. Now if only those freeloaders got out of their parents' basement and actually went to the polls.
  14. Well, if spammers were allowed to cast multiple votes. It seems I only see serious Ron Paul support right here in Yahoo! Answers. In fact, I see the supporters insulting other Republicans/ Cons for not voting for or agreeing with Ron Paul views. This must be a new way of campaigning, insulting the voters you hope to get.
  15. Maybe . But underage people can vote on the net so I would never trust any internet poll or voting even if it favored my candidate . Votes at the polling places are all that counts .
  16. he might but it doesn't matter because it only counts in society I don't think he would win on the internet there is not enough buzz about him like there is about the other canidates
  17. Yes. Ron Paul has roughly 2x the support Giuliani has in society. Saying that, Giuliani has alot more support on the tv and in the polls than in society (actual voters in the primaries).
  18. oh boy... Ron Paul will be lucky to hold on to his home seat when it is all said and done
  19. not if they were able to actually determine that people weren't using bots and voting multiple times. That's what happens when he's in the internet polls, he has a large group of internet savvy minions doing his evil planning. bwahhhahahahaa
  20. Ron is really Woody Allen, isn't he? Or is it Wally Cox?
  21. Probaby, but then who knows how many times the same people vote?
  22. I believe Thompson would win. Paul would be close so would Romney. Obama would take Hillary and Hillary would be dead last. I also believe Hillary plays the gender card and Obama has played the race card with every speech. in code words. Race is what he means when he says equality and Unity. Make no mistake. Hillery wants you to vote for her because of her genitalia and Obama wants votes because of his skin color. Democrats couldn't take a Obama win because the Race baiting reparations crowd will have no leg to stand on. He has no chance. The Muslim and drug connections are only the first of the dirty tricks being played on him. They will bring out other amunition as needed.
  23. If our electoral system worked on passion, then Ron Paul would do as well, if not better, than any Republican (establishment) or Democratic candidate. For example if your vote only counted if you were willing to do a crazy "Survivor" challenge (like eat a goat bladder or stand on a pole in the pouring rain for 6 hours), then Ron would stand a real chance, but with the simple fill-out a form voting process, he still loses handily, online or at a polling station. Ron's problem is he appeals to the sensible voter who doesnt polarize based on Party lines, and although he is a Republican in title, he cannot win the Repub nomination because he opposes many core Repub ideals and he could never be a Dem for the exact same reasons. In a strict two party, polarized system like we have, people like Ron Paul, Ralph Nader, Dennis Kucinich, etc. (who actually make some sense and do not spout opinion poll hoo-hah) really cannot compete in any manner.
