How can they keep saying Ron Paul only polls at like 4% even though He seems to have a MUCH stronger following
I see more Ron Paul Revolution signs, shirts, stickers, etc. everywhere I go in Seattle, followed by Obama second, but big news channels are constantly neglecting him and failing to include him in any polls or debates.
Public Comments
- He who gets the press does not always have the majority.
- His supporters are a bit fanatical.
- Ron Paul actually has fans, the other candidates just have voters.
- Ron Paul is a grass roots campaign. Meaning, he's gaining following by word of mouth. 4% for someone who no one really knew anything about 6 months ago is significant.
- The mainstream media is corporate-controlled, and Paul is a genuine threat to their desire to maintain the status quo of a corporate-controlled government. They won't give him much coverage. Ever.
- The key word here would be "seems". It seems that alot of his followers are under age or folks that like to complain and then just don't vote. Ron Paul gets the press he deserves.
- When you come out and say populous things like Paul does that represents the majority of working Americans, of course corporate-controlled media is going to shut you down. Presidents represent the ruling rich elites just like the rest of of gov't does. Who is going to win big elections that will run the country is decided long in advance. The rich don't take chances and will do anything in their power to have it fixed with appearances by using their voting machines and media control scams.
- Those sign holders are Illegal's that they picked up at Home Depot, and the other 4 are on here throwing fits.
- Most of the polling is done by calling people who have voted in the past. The people supporting Paul tend to be young, college age people who are voting for the first time.
- You mean a much more zealous following. Those who embrace all the Ron Paul propaganda are not unlike those who sported Che t-shirts before they became a fad. Thing is, Ron Paul is fast becoming a fad in the same way. He's the Howard Dean/Ross Perot/Ralph Nader of 2008, only with more exposure over the Internet. Still, most of his supporters have convinced themselves that Ron Paul is "America's only hope" and subsequently filled the void in their everyday life supporting his cause. Too bad they know his bid for the GOP candidate is hopeless, let alone becoming president. Maybe if that $16 or so million dollars they've thrown him was instead spent into the economy, we wouldn't be talking so much about an impending recession.
- you DO understand that a candidate's support is measured by ACTUAL votes, don't you?
- Um, your stupid polls are measured by asking people who they're going to vote for, people don't vote on national polls...
